It does in my opinion according to the way I grew up, the values I was taught, and things I consider being important.

I have watched the Sergio Leone movies more times than I can count and used to love all that was Clint until I learned about his inability to keep it in his pants. But yeah, as far as actors go, I'd put him in my top 10 of all time for sure.

I’m with you, brother. Clint’s a great actor/director, but I wouldn’t want him married to someone in my family.

I think his real talent is directing. He maybe be an extremely popular actor, but popularity does not always equate to great skills. John Wayne was extremely popular.

Josey Wales: “you a bounty hunter?”
Bounty Hunter: “a man’s gotta do something to earn a living these days.”
Josey: “Dying ain’t much of a living boy”

Epic.

Clint is THE man!! Love his part in Gran Torino the most. Could go on and on about him. He is right up there with Deniro and Pacino in my book! My favorite clip (i forget which western, maybe Josey Wales) is when the guy comes up trying to sell him snake oil and claiming it fixes anything. Clint spits a giant slop of tobacco spit on the guys white suit coat, and Clint says in a raspy voice, “hows it on stains”? Classic!

I'm always amused how people confuse actors and the movies they are in, as what they are like as people.

Their favorite lines people quote from the movies are written by writers, not actors.

The actor is reading from a script.

Clint Eastwood is/was a movie star who essentially played a persona created by himself and his previous directors.

He was not a great actor but is a pretty good director. He's fun to watch on the screen and some of his directed movies are pretty good but we have zero idea of what he is like as a person.

I watched the Mule not knowing anything about the movie. It was a neat movie. What more can be said about all his classics from years past? They are epic.

My memory of his Carmel days was he directed Play Misty for Me there and he ended up settling there and buying the Hog's Breathe Inn.

He became dissatisfied with the local laws and zoning laws in Carmel which was an old money conservative town just outside of Monterey, California so he ran for a mayor and won. He served a couple of terms.

Doris Day was one of the famous residents of the town.

He had previously been in the Navy in the Monterey area when he was younger.

Gran Torino was my first introduction to Mr Eastwood and is been hooked ever since.

The movie truly brought to light what the first Fast & Furious movie attempted but failed; note the problematic development of Asian street gangs.

As someone who lived through and experienced part of that life (got out of it thanks to a LEO who helped me overcome the hate and prejudice) it got me at the heart and didn’t let go.

I wouldn’t say he’s the GOAT, but he’s a good actor, and his behind the camera success is noteworthy.
