The experience from buying from the AD who is also a friend was amazing. Being something that is a milestone for me I wanted it all in my name. Has anyone else ever done that? All of us members have paid ridiculous prices for our watches to begin with, so I don’t see the problem with you spending a little extra to be happy with your purchase.

Personally I prefer a brand new one with my name on the card of course.
But I would not sell the same one to get just that for $1700.
Plus there's nothing wrong with preowned from Japan. They actually have a really big second hand luxury watch market. They take good care of them watches

I would prefer a new watch, especially if it is for a specific occasion.

I learned the lesson being new! I plan to keep it and pass it down and also purchase more from the AD. Lesson learned but I enjoy and love it every day!
