It was beautiful but I couldn't get over having a pre-owned DJ41 from Japan. Other one of my good friends families owns Razny Jewelers so I called him in hopes he was getting in the same exact watch just brand new and all mine plus the good experience. I got the call almost right away to come and see him. He took the trade in for a good deal and I literally bought the same watch except it is all mine. The experience from buying from the AD who is also a friend was amazing. Being something that is a milestone for me I wanted it all in my name. Has anyone else ever done that? Happy 4th to everyone too!

It’s fine man!

You paid $1700 for peace of mind

All of us members have paid ridiculous prices for our watches to begin with, so I don’t see the problem with you spending a little extra to be happy with your purchase.

Personally I prefer a brand new one with my name on the card of course.
But I would not sell the same one to get just that for $1700.
Plus there's nothing wrong with preowned from Japan. They actually have a really big second hand luxury watch market. They take good care of them watches

I would prefer a new watch, especially if it is for a specific occasion.

I learned the lesson being new! I plan to keep it and pass it down and also purchase more from the AD. Lesson learned but I enjoy and love it every day!

I don’t know why some think your decision was strange considering the premiums being paid for some Rolex models.

Enjoy your new DJ41 and put up some pix.

E.

I have to learn how to post pics, I am rather new here!

It would have been totally cool with me if I was the one that purchased it there. If I ever visit Dubai I am for sure getting one there to mark the adventure!
