I would get on the list for both the Hulk, and Panda. Tell your AD the Hulk is your priority. Forget about the Explorer II for now (you can get it anytime if you really wanted it), you may not want it when you get a Hulk and Daytona. Daytona, Hulk, Batgirl, Air King, JC. You may not need to add any SS sports Rolex after this 5 piece collection, thus preserving you marriage .

The Daytona has been highly desired and hard to obtain since it’s Zenith iteration. When Rolex developed the in house movement it became even more desired and hard to obtain. Not been available with a discount for a long time now.

The LV Sub has only been popular in the last few years. Specifically since the advent of the SS shortage.

Being pragmatic, it’s just a sub with a nice green dial and a rather flat green bezel. It is no different to a black sub in any other way.

Daytona for me and I’m not really a fan of SS Daytonas.

My advice? Ask yourself what one you’d buy if neither was popular and both were readily available.

That’s the one for you

Hulk or Daytona?

The Daytona has been at the top of my list with my AD for awhile but recently I’ve been thinking about going for a Hulk and maybe even a polar Explorer II instead.

Obviously the two watches would be a few grand more than the Daytona on it’s own but ignoring that fact I’m thinking the Hulk is more my style than the Daytona anyway. I’ve got a few speedys in my collection and I love a green dial.

Anyway, I know to go with what I like but just curious if people would choose a Hulk or a Daytona if they could only take one.

So which watch floats your boat?

Speedmaster on light brown leather + Hulk over Daytona all day

If you add in that Polar Explorer II, even more of a no brainer.

I personally prefer the look of the Speedy over the Daytona by a significant margin...so much more legible and classic.

Daytona all day long. Not even close. I never liked Green in a Sub so I'm biased. Black> blue> green for me. Daytona looks good in any color but legibility is not great. Who cares though. If you are dating Kate Upton does it matter if she can't spell?

You need to answer a few questions...

1.) Do you like both equally? If so, get the Daytona.

2.) Is this watch to be a daily driver or dressier piece? If daily driver - get Hulk (brushed bracelet). If dressier - get Daytona.

Last thing to consider ... since you have a great relationship with your AD, just get whichever comes in first and acquire the other later. There is a possibility that the Hulk will be discontinued ... so, the Daytona may be easier to source later and the Hulk may not.
