What’s the weight in grams of the new Sub 124060 or the new Cermit?

I have just had the call from my AD that I have been allocated one of the new Submariners, the watch should be at the store in the next few days and the AD will call me to make an appointment for me to view the watch and decide whether to buy.
So, I was just wondering if those people who have been lucky enough to have received their watch have any feedback of those first few days and weeks of ownership, if anyone would care to share a picture or two to brighten the thread that would be great. Thanks 😊 I have / prefer / love the Submariner ... my second choice would be the Submariner Date ... but would take whatever was offered by the AD. I like the clean looks of the dial not being cluttered with a date. And, if we are wearing a "tool", a "diver's watch" ... do we need to know the date !!!??? |

I sold my 114060 when an unexpected call came from my AD to buy the 124060. I’m loving the new Sub almost as much as my 14060M. The new Sub is both comfortable and incredibly accurate (+1 sec per week). Getting lots of wrist time.

My 124060 is roughly 153 grams (without 2 links). For comparison a 5 series weighs about 126 grams and the 114060 is roughly 147 grams. For some unexplained reason the new Sub feels lighter than the previous Sub. It must be a mirage.

Does anyone have feedback on the clasp? I have a smaller wrist and I don’t know how it will feel compared to the 114060.

Great watch! I have a 17cm wrist and it fits just perfect. Glidelock is excellent but a shorter clasp wouldn´t hurt although it´s not an issue.

The only one that survived trades/returns out of 9 Rolex. Perfect watch.

Yes, I second that. As someone with smaller wrists (6.5inches) this was also a concern for me, but having had the piece for a week now I am pleased to say that the clasp doesn’t feel too big.
One great thing about the 12 sub versus the 11 is that the newer model has a half link in the bracelet. This has been very much needed for me, swapped the half link from one side of the bracelet to the other, meaning that I am able to get the clasp properly centered on the back of my wrist - more comfortable and stable now. So glad they decided to introduce a half link! |

For me the No Date IS the way to go when choosing a Submariner. Told AD to not bother calling if it was for a date version. I’ve had my ND since June and love it!

I’ve had mine for almost a year. Love it. Had the 114060 before. This is much much better.

What everyone said. Perfect size for me but my wrist is above 7 I would guess. Does not wear as big as my AP.

Paid a trip to my AD today and happened to run into the SA I’ve come to work with regularly. She said due to my purchase history, I’m viewed favorably for allocation; or something to that effect.
The only thing holding me back, only very little, is the bracelet width. I love switching up straps and have amassed a collection of 20mm NATOs and I’d love to use them on a Sub. I guess 21 strikes me as an odd choice, figuratively speaking. While the 114060 was “the one” for many years, and my stubbornness to not pay more than retail, has me squaring up with the 124060 and it seems like a better watch all around. It’s also the first watch more than $4k USD that I will have bought and a part of me gets anxious about spending that dollar amount and only being able to enjoy it for 10-20 years because the watch industry will have vanished and then our collections can’t be serviced. I can comfortably afford it now, but I worry what my repair or service options will be by that time. |
