The fat Sub wasn't for me but it has its public and its charm. It will be a classic.

I like Tim's video's, well presented and well shot, I don't always agree with his findings but I like the video's nevertheless.
We all get our information somewhere, how we choose the data to accept and what to reject is down to our individual perceptions.

My basic point is it seems the OP keeps trolling. So yeah, close the trolling. About Tim, his knowledge is excellent... Not at all debating that. Anywho, I like the timepieces I like, even when it goes against 'accepted norms' or whatever. To me this whole new case or whatever versus previos 'debate' seems like make-believe drama to fill what would have been a boring news day. jmho

I said that very thing recently and got flamed. Ok, Masculine, manly, large, whatever. How about what someone here said about the discontinued Sub feeling more utilitarian for a dive watch?? That makes good sense to me...

I like Tim Mosso's reviews. He is knowledgeable and thorough. Of course, making the sale is his agenda. I still respect his opinion as he much experience, watch knowledge and has handled way more timepieces than I ever will.
Regarding Submariner, I'd bet anyone very hard in any camp dividing the modern subs has an agenda as well. Remember a few months ago, there was a member so "enthused" regarding mark1, mark2, mark 3 bezeled BLROs? At arm's length,. does it matter? Maybe I don't take this hobby as seriously anymore. I'm the kinda collector that enjoys looking down at my green sub and saying "this reminds me of being in the Keys with my oldest son and catching Mahi Mahi". A millimeter here or there, if you didn't tell me, I probably wouldn't know. Either way, enjoy your watch. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk |

I disagree...out of all the internet reviewers, I feel he is pretty indifferent and adds a lot of value from a technical and historical perspective. Obviously he is selling a product through watchbox but I learn a lot more than I would from going to a manufacturer's website.

Tim has more credibility than most, and his insight is based more on commercial knowledge than speculation and rumour spreading. But it's just his opinion. Just because he says something doesn't mean it is so.
Actually, I don't think I've ever seen him talking about a watch he doesn't like. He seems to like everything. So watch out (or don't) for the 11 series adoration video in the pipeline. |

I don't know who he is but just for you I will have a look at the video and get back to you.....
Voice is ok. Content is ok with just one small error. Could do with a manicure for a professional presentation?

I’m a fan of Mosso and follow his content regularly.
IMO, while he respects Rolex, he is not quick to heap praise upon them. Actually, one comes away with the distinct impression that he would rather talk about JLC, Blancpain, Sinn, really anything but Rolex. |

Guy knows his stuff. His videos are very good. Much like Watchfinder if you're interested in a particular piece and this chap does a video of it, it's pretty much second only to handling it yourself. As an enthusiast I have to appreciate that. I do agree that youtube is full of nobodies who are up their own asses talking to a camera.

This guys knowledge is better than 99.9% of people on this forum if not everyone. His review videos are also 4-7 min long and he doesn’t waste your time with superfluous information or fluff. |

Just my 2cents worth but I actually find the wider bracelet especially at the end links a little overbearing on the whole aesthetics of the watch. I guess you can't have both though.

One of the least annoying, I'd say, and certainly the most listenable watch guy on Youtube.

He is also a fantastic interviewer. Is great at allowing the person he's interviewing have the bulk of the talking. Too often do I see interviewers try and dominate the discussion |

A watchbox review that doesn’t describe a watch attribute as redolent is not a true watch is review.

It is all subjective and personal taste all Rolex are good. However, the modern 41mm is getting closer to a modern watch size with better more rational proportions. It has the elegance of the original. At least that is my opinion.

He reviewed the basics which we all already knew. The side by side was nice. B+ for a watch review. Thanks for sharing.

I am sure that Rolex recommends rinsing their new models in fresh water after swimming in salt water and the glide lock adjustment range is *18mm not the 20mm he stated. Rolex specifications can either be accepted or *measured for accuracy?

My DJ 41 measures 39.2mm diameter. Seems to be a lot of Rolex rounding up going on.

I’ve been watching Tim Mosso and his shows for a couple of years now. The fact that people on here are hating on him is quite astonishing to me. Guess there really are a bunch of haters on here.
Imo Tim really seems like he knows his stuff when it comes to watches. And to those that watch his shows, you know his interests are leaned more to the quirky watches. He rarely jumps on the hype train, unlike some people here who love Rolex more for the brand name opposed to the actual quality of their products. |

Exactly and many members on TRF have more Rolex knowledge and there is more reliable information on forum than you would find on the likes of sites like youtube.

I don’t think You-Tube can be described as a ‘site.’ It’s a massive offering of videos covering everything you can think of, and then some. And it has everything from true experts to complete idiots.
It is already dominating the watch arena, and will grow even stronger. Unstoppable. And Tim Mosso is a true expert by any standard. I enjoy You-Tube. In general. |
