Even before I read your comment, I knew that was a Malasada!!!!

Must have had 10 when we were on Kona in February. There was a roadside truck that was north of the airport, and they were SO GOOD. Tex's were also excellent, but the truck made ones just hit a little different.....

Haven’t been to the big island yet, but we’re going in October. What was your favorite thing to do?

I really enjoyed it- was surprised how wild and rugged most of the island is. We stayed in Volcano for 2 nights, Pahoa for 2 nights and then did 5 nights in Kona (Magic Sands area). My favorite part was probably Volcano National park and surrounding area, it was incredible. Pahoa is a cool, albeit quirky, area with a clothing optional beach and funky roadside foods (awesome Thai/Vietnamese). Definitely not luxury by any means, but we rented a cool house and it was a good base point for exploring. The southern point of the island was stunning, we saw humpbacks breeching off shore and did some cool hikes. I was glad we stayed a little outside of downtown Kona, it was very busy and traffic was gnarly. Magic Sands had everything you need within walk/biking distance. We also kayaked, snorkeled, did a sailboat trip and coffee/chocolate farm tours. Loved it all! I was supposed to dive 2 days, but we had a mean wind the entire week and dive boats were all cancelled. Really wanted to do the Manta Ray night dive.

Best restaurant of the trip was Canoe House, located in the Mauna Lani resort. Definitely a must-go. Excellent food and service.

Enjoy!

Picked this up down in the Caribbean yesterday. My wife said if I didn’t buy it, she would. The price was right so……

Wearing this one today. Haven't stopped using it since I got it... was back to my AP 26326 for a few hours yesterday, but I just love how low-key, yet beautiful this green Seamaster is!
