Having a great day today! Recently sold my pink gold 1815 Chronograph which I loved and still do to make room for a Datograph.

Then an opportunity came where I can either purchase the original Datograph or the newer Datograph Up Down. I almost went with the Up Down as it was a slightly better fit on my 7.5" wrist. I also liked the slate blue strap it comes on. I think I even like the cleaner and larger dial of the Up Down slightly more.

But I eventually went with the original Datograph. I like the feel of the pushers better (softer touch), the chunkier lugs and could not justify the hefty premium for the Up Down. The law of diminishing returns come quickly.

I am so happy to be in the Datograph club finally.

Does anyone what the strap dimensions are for the 39MM Datograph? I did some searches but could not find anything definitive.

I believe it is 20MM x 16MM. Can someone confirm?

What are people's thoughts on the ALS deployant? Is it a worthwhile upgrade or is it less comfortable than the tang buckle? I see one on eBay for 4k USD - is this a reasonable price or can it be had for less? What is the retail price? Many thanks.

I've seen comments that the ALS deployant balances out the weight of the platinum Datograph but I wear mine on a tang buckle and seems fine to me.

The A. Lange & Söhne Thread - including daily pics...

This one has been stuck on my wrist lately. Slimmer and the RG really pops. So comfortable and the 39.5mm size is perfect for me. Love it.
