I too purchased a 16570 black Tritium face a few months back. Very good value and somewhat overlooked but is now gaining appeal.

I've read this fantastic thread since the beginning, learning through it. Have waited for looooong years with burning patience to finally have it. Maybe this watch was done purely for the user, and less for "the audience", no eye-catching dents around it, just well thought functionality.
This watch fascinates me every day more. Feel like Gollum and his "precious".
Besides, the red hand is sooooo sexy.

Thank you all for teaching me.

What I love about this model is that there is not a lot of attention to it. You want to be a little different and wear a Rolex, this is the model to wear. It's all marketing. If James Bond wore this model, this would have been the watch. Steve McQueen did it justice.

It's comfort is among the best of Sports Rollies, and it has the added complication of the 24H hand.

Yes--of course!! A paint defect that caused dials to turn cream and thus very sought after!

Just got my 16570 with black dial dial! Sits a lot lower than the GMT, but nevertheless very comfortable. Only thing is I only need 4 links on one side, but all 4 are permanent and the 5th connects to the clapse. The head sits center on my wrist until I move my wrist.. It angles a bit upwards..

Quick question... I would like to switch out to a polar dial and have options from a great source for either one with tritium markers but no lume or the new Swiss Made super L dial. Which would be your preference? Thanks for helping!

Go for the new version, I have one, the white dial with green lume is fantastic!

Don't forget that the hands on the Polar are different.

The decision comes down to whether you prefer trit watches or lume. I like the vintage aspect of trit watches, so it would drive me crazy if my dial didn't have the little T<25 across the bottom.

lol... I did forget about the hands being different! It wasn't until the T<25 dial came in that I remembered. The source was nice enough to offer the option of getting matching hands or switching it out for the Super L though. Still deciding as I didn't realize how much I enjoyed/use the Lume.

Most are evenly split between the two dials..
