Edit: is my dial looking a little brown in direct sunlight, or am I seeing things?

Back on black - love the contrast with cream patina and grey insert. Little pleasures!

Here's a better picture of the "bluecrab24" set shown above. I had to set that username because I thought I had completely lost my original password. My apologies for the Senior Moment. Cheers![ATTACH]

sweet - just needs a polish on the crystal, to admire the dial, unobstructed!

I've debated sending it off for refurbishment, etc. for quite some time now, as it was my father's watch and holds sentimental value. The crown has spun out completely and it needs and S.O.S. I'd love to enjoy wearing it again.

You shouldn't hesitate to get it sorted out, IMHO. Do your dad proud and get it sympathetically restored (movement service, new seals, light polish on crystal/or new crystal even better), and then you can really enjoy wearing it, as was intended.

That beauty is begging to be worn, especially given the family connection. Hope you are able to get it serviced soon.

I'm sporting the 5513 today.

Wow look at that beauty. You can see the wonderful patina peeking through the crystal. And that's one of the nicest inserts I've ever seen. Don't hesitate to call Rikki or Bob ridley. They will take care of you and your family heirloom. Congrats

@jdmi32: Like-new lugs on that 5513.

Because I am only a mere human, I am unable to understand how this is possible.

Wow this is one amazing watch. A grail piece for me. Did you source the insert or was it already on it?
