My reference was about me supposedly being "the biggest flipper on the site".

Your right, the stickers are still on my most current white dial, and they're staying on. No need to take them off when I can only wear one at a time. Besides, if I decide to flip it the new owner will appreciate taking them off himself.

The msrp was 7,900 or 9,200 for the "Z" series, depending on when it was bought, so it's still more than they paid for it.

LONG LIVE THE HYPE!!

A rolex is not an investment. Buy the one you like at the price you can afford and wear it, enjoy it. Big deal if it's below MSRP or over...

It's not about falling for the hype, it's about falling for the watch my man. I'm especially glad that you and the other 3 billion people didn't fall for the hype either because if you did those of us who genuinely like the watch might not have had the chance to own one.
So a big thank you for being way too cool for the rest of us. Thanks.

Don't get excited over this guy's comments Heru. He doesn't know you from anyone. We know you're an honest guy and that's all that matters.

Besides, he said this yesterday;

"I will call "In Time" in the Pondok Indah Mall II later tonight to see if they really have all of these Daytona's in stock and if they do I will buy all of the stainless steel ones."

It's been over 24hrs and we haven't heard back from him. So now maybe you can call him on his BS

Hype or not, I bought my Daytona because it is a watch I have desired for years, now that I own it, I cherish it for the fine timepiece it is. I'll agree it was nice to have paid MSRP ($7,900) for something that most people had to pay 20 to even 30% higher for, if they could find one, but even if it is not as difficult to get now, and some people can purchase it for or close to MSRP, that doesn't diminsh how special this watch is to me.

you are very welcome my friend. if you ever see me give over 10,000.00 for a ss chrono it will be a vacheron constantin overseas, not a daytona. the daytona was fairly priced at 7,900.00, when it went over that it was way out of it's league for what is available at the higher price point.

Hey TR, would not worry bout it, the mrket place has slowed down, for expensive watches, but the demand for the daytona will always be there, your dealer is very very lucky to have that sort of allocation in on hit.

In the Uk you can go and buy any daytona (wg) within a couple of hours even TT models as well, but the SS model in the uk is still on wait lists, some of which are many years, some dealers will not even take your name, thats how bad it is.

The grey market is alive and kicking if you want to ay over the odds and I could go and purchase about 10-15 ss daytonas today if i wanted to, but personally i would rather wait my turn.

On speaking to my contact at Rolex only yesterday, his sales forcast and stock planning is double for the next month, and he has also states that the slow down has not affected demand for the daytona and all of the sports models.

catch up with soon, take care my friend, and i am sure you will have another Rolex on your wrist soon

P.S : This is not bullsh!t.

He just a user. Like me, we don't want sell/buy via online. Because Indonesia's Goverment give very high tax for luxury goods. That's why we don't like online transaction.

Check the for sale section of ANY forum or grey dealer. You will not find BNIB Daytona's that were bought for $9,200 being sold for less than that. That's my point.

The reason I pass the deal is because for now I more interesting with other. But I don't really know why he sell with low price like that.

IMO, the Daytona is a WAY better value than the VC Overseas Chrono. Here's the reasons why:

Daytona - In House 4130 movement / VC - modified (non in house) 1137 movement

Daytona - 72 hour power reserve / VC - 40 hour power reserve

Daytona - 44 jewel / VC - 37 jewel

Daytona - MSRP $9,925 / VC - MSRP $17,700

Here's the big kicker for me: VC is owned by Richemont.........Well, we all know who owns Rolex, now don't we??

*Do the math then read em' and weep*
