Well done. I would have kept one watch though.

Nothing in, nothing out in 2023 - AD phoned once to tell me they still had me in mind - trade in value offered was poor and secondary market price still high on the one quote I got so no buying or selling.

One watch serviced, a new leather watch roll and that was it for the year so minimal spend. With prices coming down, I expect 2024 to be more interesting.

Decided I wanted a Rolex for 2023 to mark a significant financial milestone... Still waiting... But, the watch bug has bitten. Added BB58, Hamilton Khaki Auto, Gshock Casioak and a Timex Snoopy. It's been a fun year for me getting into the hobby.

Wow! Would never imagine you selling them all. Any particular reason and are you content with your decision? I can see parting with the majority of my collection but never getting rid of them all.

Trying to be a one watch guy, so I got rid of my Omega Seamaster 300 and my GMT 116710LN . Those 2 will be replaced by the SD43. Fingers crossed.

I landed on: 321, BLRO and Submariner. These three are wearable, and more importantly (to me) they are nicely done modern iterations of classic references

Yes indeed, but how many other "not so nice" watches do you have ?

I guess could would say I'm down to 5 (depending on the definition of "nice")

I was at 5 and it honestly made my head hurt … I could never really justify owning them all at once and just decided maybe 3 is the right number (for me). We’ll see if it sticks

I'm at 19. Tried the same. Picked out the ones that I didn't love or had sentimental value to move on

They totalled 3 Combined value under $1000.

Gave up that plan and put them back

Bought a DSSD-JC, bought my wife a YM-37, and Son-In-Law a ND-Sub. Have my name on the list for others, we will see what 2024 has in store :-)

I finally managed to go on a consolidation drive. Got ride of 2 Omega Seamasters (black and green), Tudor Pelagos 39, Tudor Black Bay 39, Tudor Black Bay Burgundy (new one), Breitling Navitimer, Rolex Datejust 41 (two tone), Rolex Yachtmaster 40, Rolex Explorer 40.

I now have a streamlined collection:
1) Rolex Datejust 41 Blue Motif fluted bezel
2) Rolex Submariner
3) Rolex GMT Master II (Batman)
4) Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch
5) Panerai Luminor Marina PAM1392

Might get rid of Panerai in 2024 for another Rolex Datejust 41.

As I have a one in and one out rule, I traded a Reverso medium plus cash for a Patek 5127G.

Congrats! I'm going to put my sapphire bracelet on it and put a nato on the sapphire. I love the look of the nylon strap but I don't want to gunk it up.
