Oyster Perpetual owners: how do you deal with hot weather without an Easylink???

All Rolex will eventually have Glidelock, which I don’t think anyone would hesitate at maybe $500 in additional cost.

The glidelock is fantastic and a lot better than easylink. It is the primary reason I usually put on my sub before my my exp II.

I am a huge advocate for the OP39. It was and still is my first and only rolex. that being said I would have sold it ages ago if I wasnt able to source an easylink. I was lucky enough to get one through my AD and it is a huge factor in why I wont be getting an explorer.

Rolex totally nailed it with the easylink in my opinion. My Exp 1 fits perfectly when the link is closed, and when i go outside to where it's hot 'n humid i can expand it without even taking the watch off. The 5mm increase is perfect too and when i get back to AC then i close it back to the perfect size.

One thing though - there seems to be a misunderstanding here about installing an easylink on an OP. Yes, it CAN be fitted..... but good luck sourcing one. Rolex will not sell you one unless it's for a watch you own which came with one.

IMHO, ability to make quick adjustments on the fly is critical for those living in humid summer climates. The need won’t make much sense to a Londoner.

Having said that, I get just as much comfort and enjoyment from my (fixed) Tudor bracelet as I do from the 114060 w/Glidelock. Call me crazy, but to me Glidelock is almost too much of a good thing. The geometry of the bracelet changes across the adjustment range, so the practical window of adjustability is fairly narrow, at least for my wrists. The five digit system actually seems like the best compromise to me, also having lived with one.

I'll never buy another watch without an easy adjust type bracelet. Period.

AD’s can order you a 77200 clasp.

Mine did it for me last year.

I have a 114060 and an 114300 Rhodium . I’ve never had an issue with my OP39 as it’s sidled correct. It’s called the Goldilocks

I just received my 39mm 114300 white dial, 1 link out, set the basic clasp adjustment thing, good for me....but I wear my watches a bit loose.
