I keep coming back to this thread for the pictures! I am so tempted to sell/trade a watch or two for the BLNR!

Did you part ways with the 126610LV? I only see the BLNR and the Daytona in your signature. Curious on your thoughts of the Sub LV vs. BLNR.

Great stuff. Congrats, Mystro.

Did you keep the 126610LV or trade to get BLNR. Sorry if I missed this.

Congrats! Jubilee was a great choice. Looks really good. Think you'll keep this one for a long time?

Yea, I let the LVc go for the BLNR as my collection did change and so did the rolls of the watches. I researched my older pics and all kinds of measurements again from weight thickness, etc.. I have never ever repurchased a watch and wanted to be positive so I let a few months go to let any “new watch” pressure subside and considered the swap from every angle. The take away is this was not done in haste.

One reason but not THE reason was the size of the clasp on the GMT was smaller and more comfortable with my thinner wrist. That’s not to say I don’t like a big adjustable clasp as my new PO “Creamsicle” is larger but for a daily, it was a factor. The thinner case back design of the GMT was also noticeable vs the Sub. I was trying to get a wrist feel closer to my Daytona as well. More superficially, I just love the hue of the blue. I liked it on my YMII and I love it on the BLNR. It’s always been a color I never have to work around and it’s my favorite color in general. That could be reason alone to pic this watch over another GMT color scheme.
I have experience with the GMT and Sub and how they wear on the wrist on vacation and other environments so if you have any direct questions let me know. On a previous beach/Disney vacation, I did take my last BLNR on a dive and it did just fine pulling double duty.

Finally some sun pics in a balmy 5 degrees day. The colors and contrast in this watch is very easy to get accurate pics that “pop”. A few I can share.

One of my all time favorite Rolex pics I ever took:

Awesome pictures, thanks for braving the 5 degree weather for us. How does it look in low light, specially when going out to dinner?

Can share a couple low light indoor shots of mine; outdoors as soon as it catches a street lamp it lights right back up. Such a cool bezel!

^^^Yup, you get that dark purple/blue hue in low light. There is never a bad hue of color.

Loved scrolling through this thread. That is my all time favourite watch. At some point, I will buy one. When I do, my luxury watch buying days are over. Grail piece.

Enjoy in good health and thank you for the awesome pictures.

Outdoor one in indirect light; really shows what Mystro was talking about with the purple tones…he’s dead on as usual!

It’s one of the only “bezel Rolex” models that wear as close to a Daytona in comfort. Seriously, I have tried them all and the Daytona has spoiled me in how comfortable it wears. You don’t even have to size a Daytona perfectly and it will still be comfortable. The flattest case backs always are the easiest to wear and distribute the weight more evenly.

On the comfort theme:
The jubilee bracelet option is a huge advantage for the GMT in allowing the watch to flow over the wrist without feeling heavy. I use to think the jubilee bracelet was too chain like but I have since found it isn’t and just wears different than an oyster bracelet. A jubilee bracelet on a Daytona would be the ultimate in comfort and I am sure Rolex will eventually bring it back to the Daytona line.
I have plans to do some detailed pics with the GMT and Daytona.

Mystro, your pics inspire me to love your watches over the years...you are guilty of getting me excited in buying a black ceramic Panerai with your 661 pics. So, I blame you for acquiring a 335 Panerai last year!

I am a bad influence….. Those are solid horilogical purchases so I will take full credit.

I try to show each watch in as many lights and view points in my pics. It’s the only way many that are just getting into this hobby can see the watch outside of stock photos. If any of my pics can help others make an informed decision, then it’s a win.
