I only owned my Pelagos for one year and found that whilst it got scratched up the scratches were less obvious on the Ti versus the SS Sub I had at the time

I have a blue Pelagos and a GMT-master. Both about three years and have been worn about the same amount of time. The Rolex clasp has much more scratches than the Tudor (easy with PCL’s). Tudor looks almost new to me. So, dont worry too much about scratching.

Also, the Pelagos is a great watch if you leave your book at home. There's enough lines of text on the dial to keep you entertained for hours.

I dont think it's as much of a scratch magnet as a Royal Oak or Panerai. It's a fairly priced daily dive watch. If anything, it doesn't make sense to me to pay 3x as much for a Sub. If you're actually going to use a dive watch in the water, I much prefer a rubber strap.

Intrigued as to whether it bothered you when owning?
I was always worried with the internet forum opinion of the dial due to the lines. I have a 2 line sub so was used to it being plain. Upon wearing and using the watch every day I didn't notice though.

Maybe it was just me! May buy the LHD now as the original one used to dig in wrist.

Glad there are some good and serious answers too but unfortunately once again we have some guys saying bullshit things like 'buy the rolex cause it's better'

And this is THE reason I read this forum a lot less than I used too.

I have a lot of Tudors and it is one of my favorite brands.
But hey I also own AP, Journe, Patek (and pretty special ones), JLC, Zenith, and others

If I think like some here I should put no more money and time in Tudors ??? cause I have more expensive watches ?? (I did say MORE EXPENSIVE cause some here think these are BETTER watches ... which isn't necessarily the case. Just to give you one example... I had big problems with an AP ROO ( not as solid as one would expect)

This uninformed snobbism is getting sooooooooo annoying

Btw, the watch I wear the most is a bleu pelagos and it works perfect and does not scratch that easy

Besides, if you can't stand a scratch on a watch, better don't buy watches

I never found the lines of text remotely offensive when wearing the blue dial model for a year. The issue is magnified a lot on the photos online. With all this talk I just bought a LHD version! Hopefully will solve the previous issue of the crown lugs being a bit sharp.

just put mine back on the bracelet, as normally on rubber strap, although again not worn much, as on rotation with other pieces

Do you think the Submariner “looks expensive”? Odd comment

Ha! Read a little....the Pelagos is more capable as a diver than the Sub....
The DSSD is the big brother. Good grief!

I have owned my Pelagos for a couple years now. Aside from my DSSD, I wear it more than any of my Rolex watches. The bezel ratchet is very easy to use. The matte dial with bright white markers is extremely legible. The titanium ages great and wears comfortably. The ceramic bezel has luminova (very useful). The movement is extremely accurate and the power reserve is great.
I could go on and on....it’s a great watch for most all occasions. It’s an absolute bargain. It is a cool, well built watch for the individual who is confident enough to dare to wear an “inferior” product, and doesn’t need to show off a logo!
