I have an Explorer 1 39mm I fitted on an Everest strap that I use as my Gym/Exercise watch lately.

If you don't lift free weights I guess it'd be ok but if you are, your watch would be knocking into knurled bars and other stuff that would do some damage.

Fear? No, I simply prefer to wear a more suitable watch for working out such as a digital watch with a rubber strap.

I'm gonna say it... Depends on what is considered a workout. Working the ice cream out of the back of the freezer, yup, I wear the Rolex.

It depends. If I'm using cardio equipment or jogging outside, yes, I'll wear my Rolex. For other workouts I use my G-Shock or go without.

Normally use g shock, but sometimes on business trip dont want to leave it even in room safe hence keep on my wrist even during workout. Never had any problems.

Running on treadmill, jogging around the neighborhood no problem. Anything with heavy weights I'll take it off and put in my pocket.

I do because the location of my gym is between my office and my home and I don't think that it would be safe leaving my watch in the locker.

I always work out with whatever watch I'm wearing that day, and that's always a Rolex or similarly priced piece. I don't really see an issue with it. More likely to damage it by dropping on the bathroom floor than working out.

I do, but the dumbbells that I use are rubber clad. I don't worry too much about scratches because the wear the Rolex as beaters. I probably wouldn't wear my Journe to the gym though.

If I had an accident bad enough to break a watch I'd have a whole host of other problems.

You rock dude! Very impressive! 25 years ago I was benching 365 lbs sets, alas no longer. Switched to yoga a few years ago.

No watch while I work out.

Can't even wear my Fitbit. I would absolutely destroy it.

When at the gym at the office, I wore it. Did not want to leave it in the lockers. At home, I wear no watch or a fitness watch if I go running.

Where did you leave your car keys? (I know, it's getting old )

Desk drawer. Which if I remembered to do so, I would have done with the watch too. But it would not occur to me until already down in the locker room.
