Great thread! I've got a 4-piece plan.

Submariner no-date.
2-tone Sub with black dial
Deep Sea Sea Dweller
Rose gold President with chocolate dial and Roman numerals.

That plan covers all my bases, and will represent progressive steps in my success. About a 10 year plan. 1 watch down, 3 to go.

I don't think "the end game" in terms of a specific model, I think about number of watches, and every time I buy one I think I'm done...I'm up to 5 Rolex watches and there are at least 5 other I want, and that's without counting the Pateks I want, the IWC Big Pilot, and the others I'm sure I'll want in the future. :)

So no, I don't think there's an end game for me.

There's no such thing as end game, because when you think you are at the end - there is always a small step in the same direction. Always.

The romantic fantasy of an end game purely exist in the imagination. And you know what; that is totally OK. Not all dreams are worth pursuing. It is OK to have some dreams / grails not materialized.

My current plan is a three piece collection... GMT IIc (have) + Exp I/MkII (very close) + SS DJ41 fluted (still 1yr+ away). I have a vintage DJ that I no longer wear.

From there I will either stop.... or eventually flip them all for a WG DD 40. I haven't caught the PM bug, but that would be it if/when I do.

I love this one and think the color and the match of different materials look stunning. But somehow it doesn't get much attention around here.

I will keep going as long as the bank account allows...currently that's a new one every 2 to 3 years...

I will no doubt leave them to my kids but not before I enjoyed them first!! Next up Daytona

A platinum DateJust 40mm with an ice blue stick dial, smooth bezel and glide lock clasp would be my Rolex end game.

I already have the SS Daytona.

Over time, I'd like to add the 16610LV and a DD40.

After that, it's on to Patek!

I think my end game or "Rolex grail" would be a PM watch. I'd love to eventually grab a Day Date or gold Daytona

How is it possible to ever say there would be one? The brand is ever changing, as is technology. If you stop collecting watches as a hobby, then you have an end game. Otherwise, you are lying to yourself.
