stunningwatch , nice review , think i read somewhere the case back is thinner on yms hence the shallower depth rateing,,, .75mm as to 1.25mm i think ,, could be wrong , i should be married im wrong that often.

I must admit that I wasn't a fan, too much of the same tone, I used to think. I emphasize my use of the past tense because your review and pictures have entirely changed my perspective.

Very nice review....yes, also the bezel is a totally different setup on the yachtmaster, it's not like the submariners where the insert pops into the bezel assembly...yachtmaster's is a two piece with the flat washer in between...the top piece(what is the knurled perimeter and the numerical insert) is one fully cast Platinum piece. The bottom retaining ring is, I believe, stainless.
Also....why won't Rolex update the clasp on these Yachtmasters???....A Daytona Clasp is so much more appropriate on these YMs. |
