Beautiful piece. I was hoping QC's only looked so good because of his photographic skills, but it's now evident that the watch is a masterpiece and I'll have to lust away for one of my own.

As an aside, for those troubled by "heavy" watches, have you ever tried wearing them one hole too loose? I notice that when I throw my RGGP on without tightening it properly, it wears a little lighter. Of course, it creates other problems, but maybe it's the lesser evil.

Appreciate it guys!

Slept with the Ti on last night (which I always sleep with a watch on) and it reminds me of the FC--no weight issues while sleeping and super comfortable.

After wearing this one for almost a day now, and being an AP ROO nut, we have a winner with the Schumi Ti--a BIG winner

The two strongest suits of the watch are:

1. The presence factor on the wrist. Just pops both in and out of sun. Layers of polished vs non polished surfaces is amazing.
2. The weight. I'm just amazed how light and comfortable this watch really is for it's size. No top heavy factor here--Ti is such a perfect metal.

There are two things that I wish were different, but by no means an issue.

1. The date is hard to read in red (however I understand why they did it).
2. Second would be that the lume doesn't last very long because there's so little of it (see pic). I like good lume for sleeping and seeing the time at night. Again, no watch is perfect, and if these are the only two improvements--well then I'm one happy camper.

Still looking for the warning sticker from AP stating: "CAUTION - Wearing this watch too much could cause a permanent smile on your face."

I know your joking but found the answer to be pretty cool.

Notable design features that I would point out include two blue stars and five red stars (on the outer tachy scale) symbolizing the seven titles of world champion driver — two in blue for Benetton (1994 and 1995) and five for Ferrari (between 2000 and 200). Note also the minute track (outer) with a cool “checkered flag” pattern. And lastly the hour and minute hands, made of faceted gold — a new design from AP — are meant to emulate the monocoque construction of an F1 Car.

Please let me introduce my brand new Audemars Piguet, Limited Edition, 44mm Michael Schumacher in Titanium (26568IM), number 840/1000. I am speechless—it is simply stunning in person. The layers of grey, titanium and polished cermet bezel combine into one beautifully designed 44mm sports chronograph. This is one of those watches you must see in person.

I prefer larger sports watches, and the challenge I’ve had in the past with other 44mm AP’s was the weight of the metal pieces. I’ve owned all three 44mm in the 26400 series--the SS and RG were too heavy on the wrist for any long term wear (again everyone’s mileage will vary, I just can’t pull off RG weight all day, I wish I could). The 44mm FC is a completely different animal—very light weight, can wear all day and not even notice it’s on the wrist.

Now, the weight of the Ti Schumacher is nothing short of perfect. Much, much lighter than 44mm SS, however has the wrist presence that just pops-- that I do miss sometimes in the FC. I could wear the Ti 24/7 no problem—extremely comfortable to wear (just my initial impression—will post more thoughts later). For those who love the presence of the 44mm, but don’t want the weight of RG or SS, this is the watch.

I want to thank FightOnSC, Watchguy69, Superboey and QueueCumber for not only answering my emails, but posting amazing shots of their Ti. The Ti Schumacher is almost impossible to find (patience is not a strong trait of mine), so I appreciate the threads and pictures, allowing me to live vicariously through you guys until I finally received mine. Good news there are 5 now on TRF (that I know of), which means enabling will be a lot easier moving forward .

Now let’s enjoy the pictures together (more pics later—morning light right now is not great)…
Cool! Congrats!

Now we need to work on finding you a RG Schumi....

HA! You've already done enough 'damage' (and I can't thank you enough!)

Your description and pics were spot on for what this watch really is in person. Just perfect in so many ways--what an AP!

I probably would have bought both (Ti, RG) at the same time like you, but I've been down the 44mm RG path before. Simply stunning watch, but I never wore it due to the weight (even putting short strap on it). Always ended up wearing FC.

Bought 44mm SS thinking, oh that will be better weight wise, ended up wearing FC again.

The Ti is perfect weight wise for me--as you know, just a tiny bit of weight to know it's there, but almost feels like FC.

No, what WE need to do is get you in the Platinum since you like heavy watches
