Agreed with the others....if you got a REALLY great deal (I've seen 2017 YG GMT's for $24k in the classifieds) and REALLY wanted the GMT, then good stuff!

What price were they at? I see them at 23-24k euro/28k USD/20k UK pounds.
Now this is going to hurt... £12-13K.

And before my time I believe Kilyung and Fremstar got theirs for closer to £10K, altho we have had some price rises since.

And what happens after 90 days when they come up with excuses and they never get you a Pepsi?

I feel like buying a PM at discount and then buying a Pepsi on grey is equal to paying retail on PM and retail on pepsi, but first method guarantees you get the SS

Then everyone on the internet can tell me how much smarter they are than I am? :) I’ve done a fair amount of business with them, pretty comfortable they don’t have an agenda to disappoint me. We shall see

Great pickups.

The amount of people on this thread feeling the need to share that they would not do this deal, or don't bundle or I would only buy one... is amusing.

I would not buy a burger with extra tomato.

I would not swim in yellow water.

Statements I find just as irrelevant to OP's statement.

fmacken bought an awesome watch.

fmacken is about to buy another awesome watch.

No, just two and a half years ago they were £14K. The advantage is yours will hold value better but the downside is you have to spend more initially.

Kilyung and Fremstar were around then but for black not the less popular green, my prices were 3-4 years ago on the green dial.

I bought mine for £13k in Jan 2013 from WatchFinder. In Summer 2016 I had it serviced and tried to sell private but didn’t find a buyer so sold it to a local dealer for £11.5k in June 2016 about a week before Brexit vote!

For sure there is always someone who got a better deal and wouldn’t be shy about sharing it. Thankfully in spite of my ineptitude I’ve somehow been able to get by... :)

Congrats! I think it's a good deal (you are getting new watches and that you know for sure it's authentic and under warranty under your name) and it's always good to have a relationship with an AD. And I'm sure you are doing fine in life even with your "ineptitude." In that case, I have the same "ineptitude."

It's often the other "deal-seekers" that are often having problem finding whatever SS pieces at MSRP and complaining about that ADs don't want to work with them etc. Life is not always about getting something the cheapest possible way. Anyways, congrats and enjoy your watch and the other one when it comes.

Sorry if I missed it, but what type of discount did the AD give you on the anniversary YG GMT?

It is a beautiful watch, by the way.

So, you bought a PM GMT with 0% discount and in hope that you can buy another watch with 0% discount some when in the future? I really hope for you that the YG GMT with green dial is your holy grail.

Btw.. bravo Rolex! Your marketing is one of the best in the world!

A deal I couldn’t refuse

Geez, some of you guys are wearing this out. The title of the post says “A deal I couldn’t refuse”.

Great news: You don’t have to do the deal. If you wouldn’t have bought these pieces, congratulations, you don’t have to.

FWIW I’m into both watches at a number I’m super comfortable with. I really am not concerned with your opinion unless you’re going to cut the check.

If you can get a better deal, did get a better deal or are going to get a better deal: Let the big dog eat.

Got two pieces I like and wanted.

As for the negative feedback about your perception of my negotiation skills: Have at it baby! I’ll be just fine after getting roasted by strangers on the internet. I’m here to celebrate the passion for watches with other people. MOST of the people here are fast to share that passion but here, like everywhere there are plenty of experts that would rather provide a cover of doom and gloom wherever they go.

It’s sunny in my world 24/7/365

For $16,000.00 you can get a Pepsi from a gray dealer tomorrow.... why wait the 90 days?

I don't think the OP is buying the PM just for the "privilege" of buying a Pepsi. He likes the PM and he likes the Pepsi. There is nothing wrong because it's his money and honestly not a bad deal since he likes both. After he gets both and I think he will, he will also be in a good position to get other pieces including whatever new and shining from Basel 2019.

Whether it's a deal you will take or not is irrelevant so let's just congratulate him on the beautiful piece he got. :)

OP it's just natural for some people to be negative on the internet. Enjoy your new watch and do another incoming when your pepsi arrives.
