That is beautiful, any more pics of this?

I have a couple of white gold pieces so I went for that. Yellow gold isn’t my style, unless in certain TT variants.

I traded in my WG for for an everose DD. It just feels like the modern DD interpretation. Bling and subtle in its own way. I love the warmth of the WG over Platinum. Side by side you can definitely tell a difference. Platinum was too heavy a watch for me. Anyone want to compare weights across the metal types? I swear the WG was heavier because of what we they have to blend to make it white.

For the past 5 years, I've been mesmerized by the blue diagonal motif dial on the platinum 228206 model. Finally picked this up (preowned) in February, though it's been stuck at the (closed) RSC since mid-March, unfortunately (I sent it for a warranty repair because the day/date changed too late). It's definitely on the heavy side, but I'm good with that. It's not too big, either, which was a concern (watch is 40mm diameter, and my wrist is 6" circumference).

That is stunning, absolutely love this, excellent choice, hate to ask how much did you pick it up for

Can you stil get those straps at Rolex? I would be afraid of wearing and destroying the strap if I couldn't get another replacement!

So while we’re on Daydates, what is the metal mix/your choice of PM?

This is for everyone, including past, present and prospective owners.

Please feel free to mention which model as well, dd40/ddII/dd36 etc.

My choice...

That is very nice but to me, a daydate is not a daydate unless it come with a president bracelet.

I struggled with this choice for a while. Narrowed it down to white gold, but couldn't decide on a dial color. Ended up with this..

Here’s the one I got last summer. 36mm RG with Rhodium dial and stick markers. I knew I wanted lume so I had to look for pre-update versions in AD’s. It’s a rare bird in this combo. Not easy to find.
