Love the engine turned bezel, and like multiple sizes and day date. Don't like the integrated bracelet.

I would be all over one if there was a stick dial. It is very Rolex 17014

Maybe it will grow on me in the metal but my initial impressions from the photos are that it doesn't sing to me

Love the look of the blue roman dial from the real life photos. Cant wait to see a few incomings for these to make a decision. right now though this one is on the list to be picked up by the end of the year!

Tudor has a new model The Tudor Royal

By Capt. DANNY CRIVELLO

Tudor gave us this weekend a quick glimpse into an upcoming release. I was notified via text by Youtuber Bruce Williams who is a fan of the brand. It feels that Tudor is not ready to unveil as the links on its website are not yet working.

The watch is described as "the sports watch with integrated bracelet and signature notched bezel." There seems to be dozens of variations, including size and metal. Brand ambassador Jay Chou is also featured wearing the watch.

This is exciting news!

From that first picture, looks like a combination between Genta's 1530, Vacheron Overseas, and Turnograph. Something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue (dialed).

Especially with the 1530 aesthetic, I wouldn't be surprised if Rolex is trying to celebrate its Genta heritage as AP and PP have theirs, but subtly through the Tudor spin.

Wow that looks great to me.

The VO resemblance is unmistakable (a good thing). You said size variations. This one looks ~41mm would you say?

Genta reflected in Tudor Royal?

The case on the new Tudor Royal reminds me a bit of the Rolex 1530 which Gerald Genta designed for Rolex. Genta also designed the Nautilus and Royal Oak. Out of all contemporary Rolex/Tudor that look like Genta's work, the Tudor Royal bears the most striking resemblance in my opinion. SS case and blue dial may also be a nod. Just a fun observation and wonder if anyone else notices the resemblance.

Answers the long standing question: “will Rolex make a DD in SS?”.

Not liking the roman numerals or the design of the case which looks like a old oysterquartz case.

I can't help it, i don't like Tudor in any way. Their logo looks like a smiling clown.

Rolex used the "Royal" name since at least the 50's.
There's probably some other models that I can't think of that go back farther.

I think the case itself looks more like an Omega Manhattan Constellation.
With a Tudor milled bezel and an intregal Date just bracelet.

I didn't know Rolex used the royal name since at least the 50's and modified the post accordingly. I wasn't familiar with the Manhattan Constellation but just looked it up and yes, it does look much more like the Constellation. Enjoy learning new things about this hobby and appreciate the reply

This is actually pretty cool, I wonder how it will be priced? If it’s in the usual Tudor 3-5k range then it sounds like an amazing bargain. Basically a SS Day-Date made by Rolex just with a different logo! Tudor has really been impressing me lately.
