I had it back in April. Was out of work for 3 1/2 weeks and felt horrible, far worse than the flu, which I’ve also had a couple times. My sense of smell never recovered to normal.
If you can get a portable fingertip pulse oximeter overnighted it would be a good way to spend $50 or so.
In spite of what some believe, you’re at risk for complications even if you’re younger and otherwise healthy, though much lower risk than the elderly and infirm. If you start to feel really bad, short of breath at rest, dusky lips, finger tips, etc. call 911 or get to an ER for evaluation immediately. If you have a pulse oximeter reading below about 90% that’s a dangerous sign that needs urgent evaluation.
The good news is that most people recover quickly and don’t have significant complications. Stay hydrated and pay close attention to your symptoms.
Good luck!

If this offers any hope I just had a stuffy nose, some muscle aches for a few days then lost my sense of smell for two weeks. I’ve felt much worse with other sicknesses and ailments. I continued to work from home like there is much else to do being stuck in house arrest.

I still managed to drink my 4cups of daily black coffee even though it smelled strange or had no smell at all.

That seems to be the thing with this virus, varying levels of severity with people of the same age and similar physical condition, in the early stages they were blaming the serious cases on certain blood types but that seems to have gone away as a possible cause. The medical researchers don't seem to have an answer for who will get stark and brutal symptoms and who will not other than those with comorbidity issues...

OP, I hope you are feeling better soon!!

Thank you
Thank You
Thank You
I can’t thank you enough for the out pouring support and love I have received on this forum. I am extremely great full and appreciative to be a member here at TRF. I am still in the same shape I was yesterday not better but not worse. I have people telling me maybe it was my extreme diet and or workout that caused me to get sick with Covid and my body to react the way it did.
I have enjoyed browsing here through the boards and have had a few laughs.
Thank you to everyone.

A big Thank You to Chris AKA TswaneNguni The Doc.

Sending my Love and Best Wishes to everyone including those who have had it, have it, yet to get it , I wish you never get do.

Get well. My wifes work has an outbreak of 42 people, including 11 nurses. Fingers crossed. Remember, if you start having breathing issues, do not hesitate for one second to go to the hospital.

Hope you get well. Wife and I currently have it, virtually no symptoms. She has a bit of nausea that is very quickly cured by a few hits of marijuana, and I spent the evening a couple of days ago on the toilet (TMI). I would throw the clubs in the car to go play a round of golf right now. This is a strange virus indeed.

I am a firm believer in the medicinal effects of marijuana and there are numerous articles published directly correlating covid relief with marijuana. If you have an open mind, look it up.

I hope you get to feeling right again soon!

The few people I know that got it only had a very mild reaction.

Take care of yourself brother!

Thank you again everybody for the well wishes.
My daughters test just came back negative.
Now I’m waiting on my Sons test.
I think I’m feeling better but I know they say you’ll feel better one minute then a second wave comes.
This really is a shit show. A novel virus for sure. Quarantine sucks but if all goes well I’m free the 17 from solitary confinement.
This has been an awful experience.
Please follow the CDC guidelines. This is not a joke. Please everyone take care of yourselves and those around you. I did everything I was supposed to as far as following all the protocols and I still managed to get sick. I think I will be thinking twice before putting myself n any situation where I can become infected again.

Also now I wonder if I’ll be immune to the virus and if so how long.
