I wear all of my watches, even my dress watches, as regularly as I can. I could never buy a watch I wouldn’t wear.

I alternate how the mood takes me, Rolex, Omega, GP. If it isn't on the wrist its on the watch winder so it can go on to the wrist immediately

I rotate between my Pepsi and Bluesy. Pepsi for the weekday when I'm at work as it's more lowkey with the SS and Bluesy for the weekend.

I have been buying and selling watches for many years, and found that more than 3 is simply too much. I don't want to collect, I want to wear them. More than 3 makes things too complicated...

I have five watches, but in truth as of the moment I just rotate 2 of them (a sub and stainless steel DJ)—mainly because those are the ones I like the most. The other ones are older watches that I am still fond of but just don’t fit with what I’m wearing these days.

I don't buy anything i can't afford to use. I am more affraid to buy watches I won't use. Who know if they are worth anything used or not when you if ever are to sell them.

I don't see me as a collector, but as a watch guy with a collection/selection of watches.

I have 3 invictas currently...

I wear the crap out of mine and don't think twice about scratches, etc... they'll last forever, anything cosmetic can be dealt with in due time. Wear and enjoy!

I wear everything. What would be the point to not? It’s a watch. You wear it.

I wear mine too. Part of the fun for me is associating different watches with different trips/memories - Kilimanjaro with my X-33, Rainier with my 16610LV, rafting the Colorado through the Grand Canyon and cage diving with Great Whites in South Africa with my Planet Ocean.

Wear them and rotate… but I don’t abuse my watches, I’m careful but not so extreme, They all look pretty good and I wear them for anything.

Yes, every single one of my watches gets worn, I do take care of them but I wear them. I wouldn’t wear a nice watch to change the spark plugs in my car but for pretty much everything else I wear them. This one has been on all weekend out and about. Salud

All are rotated out and worn regularly. Kind of a relief when each gets its first scratch. Means I don’t have to stress out as much about it.

I could never buy a watch to leave it in a box forever… You make a connection with them through memories, and how could you make those memories if the watch is stuck in a box.

I think you have a mix of people. I know of individuals who are fortunate enough to buy two of what they truly like. One to store away in a safe and one to wear until they decide to sell. The new watches are kept as an investment or to pass down to children when they achieve a milestone.

Least time I met up with him he pulled two Sub LV that were bought new in 2004 & 2005. One he plans on selling in the future and one he will give to his nephew as a college graduation present.

I intent to give my son a watch that I bought around the time he was born but I wear it and rotate it out. Watch changes based on the occasion, mood or outfit.

Regular rotation, nothing for sale or planning to sale, and if I was to sell them not interested in selling them pristine/unworn. I like to use a watch for a few days as I find one day is not enough to re-appreciate the details etc.

Are there any actual 'for wear' collectors left?

Judging by all the wrist shots I see all over the internet, seems like people wear their watches. Plus, I see a lot of luxury watches out in the wild too…

I certainly wear mine.

I keep the whole collection in constant rotation. I love them so much and get such a kick out of enjoying each one.

I wear every watch I own routinely. I might start the day with one while I'm working outside or engaging in a hobby and then switch to another to go out for dinner. I might also change what watch I choose based on the color of my clothing. This is how I enjoy my watches.

It's nice if a piece I own appreciates in value but it's not going to lead me to stash it away. For me, watches are for wearing and enjoying.
I do understand that some people's enjoyment of their watches is knowing they're safely stashed away and perhaps appreciating in value, that's just not me.

Like many on here, I wear all my watches as they were intended to be worn, I don't 'baby' any of them, they do what I do. I've just come back from an bike ride, and as it was on my wrist, my 1016 joined in for this rainy ride and didn't miss a beat!

I’d consider myself a current and future collector. I wear them without much of a concern, certainly don’t baby them. That being said if I know I’m doing something harsh I just leave it in the case. I have yet to purchase my “running a chainsaw watch” or “renovate the bathroom Rolex”

I would never buy a watch that I didn't want to wear - I wear them all... but have always been bothered by those who think (or least give the impression that they think) that unless you beat the shit out of your watches, that you aren't enjoying them... almost all of my watches are worn with a bit of 'wrist awareness', and are still nearly mint - (it's easier when you have almost 100 watches and keep the rotation going) - but some are meant to be beat up and worn rock climbing - others don't deserve that kind of abuse - but rest assured I enjoy my Patek at a formal event where it has very little risk of being dented, as much as I do a seiko turtle that can get bashed around with less concern...

Yep! When I don't wear a watch for any reason.....like i feel it's getting too valuable to wear without fear (like my 5726 Nautilus), I sell it. Rather someone else gets the joy of ownership. I have 7 watches - all worn regularly.
