You should have bought a deep sea if you wanted to shower with it…
Personally the idea of showering with jewelry on is bizarre to me.

I actually think the answer here is yes, it will likely degrade the watches integrity faster than not wearing it.
The same goes for wearing it full stop. However the rate of degradation will be so slow, that if you get it serviced even remotely within the recommended time frame you won’t notice any issues.

Of course you can, but why would you?
You will get soap scum build up on the watch, dried soap will build up in the bracelet and clasp, not to mention you cannot wash your skin that is under the watch. This is a very silly idea to me |

I shower in mine a lot but i did have an eye opening experience recently. We had a thread about washing your watches, and guys were talking about a soft tooth brush and dish soap. I found it ridiculous. I thought i just wash it in the shower, its fine. It’s not. When i wash it with a touch of dawn and the soft brush, it is immaculate. It feels so much cleaner that when i shower with it on. I think the soap buildup with regular soap is noticeable to me. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I've read horror stories shared by watchmakers where they've found dried soap scum inside watches and their movements built up over years. I assume if the crown is all the way screwed down, as others have put it, the degradation is likely imperceptibly small over the course of time. But make no mistake that wear and tear is happening very slowly and over a long period of time. I'd rather just avoid by taking the watch off before showering, which is incredibly easy to do and remember.
