Daytona...

More comfortable on the wrist.
More refined case.
Top resale value.
Less common.

Daytona. Get it now while we're still in a recession and it's available. Get the DSSD later.

More comfortable? Are you sure?
More refined case? What do you mean?
Top resale value - can't disagree with that.
Less common - definately not. Daytonas have beed around for a long time. Deepsea, not even two years.

I've always disliked the Daytona - not a fan of chronographs due to cluttered dials.
However, the Daytona has REALLY grown on me over the last 12 months.
If I was going to buy another Rolex, I think it would be a Daytona.

Dr.B - great pics

And if you are a Race driver >>> get the Daytona
And,, if you are a Rolex collector >>> get BOTH !!
I think you ment Hummer?
I had a Hummer and have a BMW. funny you compared those. and I think I would chose my M3 over my H2 everytime, well maybe.

I did chose the Daytona, and then I sold it, but yesterday my AD got a ss daytona in again and I think I am going to buy it, lol.. I miss it.
I never got a dssd either, but still want it, but never could pull the trigger on it. but the daytona arrived again and I am ready to pull the trigger on it, hmmm. gues it does speak to me.

Less common?? I have seen a DSSD in every 2nd or 3rd AD I walk past. I have never seen a Daytona in the wild and the only one I have ever seen in an AD I bought it on the spot.

In Vancouver bc I have seen both black and white daytonas at two seperste ad's in town in the display cases! Not rare and tough to find anymore. I would buy a daytona if i loved it not because it is rare or because it is the watch to have.

i own and love the deepsea and it is a keeper for life! No offense to daytona lovers but it does nothing for me even though it is a classic watch.

Deepsea for me!

They are 2 completely different watches but if yo can afford it buy both.
I have the DSSD & it gets the most wrist time out of my colection.

SS Daytona for me since I already want a Sub bad enough. I'd want to spread the love around to a different style.

Interesting...I am selling my Deepsea and buying a Daytona.

Reason, I have a Big Pilot...and don't need another BIG watch. Daytona is pretty classy and sporty looking IMO>

And personally, I find the Deepsea to be the least comfortable of my watches...although the strap is the best I have ever used or seen!

DSSD, since I prefer a watch with a date. The exception of the classic Sub No Date 14060M.
