Thanks. It really is a beautiful watch. My AD has no knowledge of them being discontinued, and had just had a meeting, about everything going on with Rolex, yesterday morning. They just found out they were bumped up to the next level, so will get more allocations this year. They were obviously happy about that news.

Congratulations! Wimbledon is such a beautiful dial and is one of my personal favs. Nice score on that one. A great example of happen to be in the right place at the right time! Well done.

So, what happened to the original question to your SA about the Fluted and Palm Motif dials? You are forgiven if you forgot to ask. I can totally understand why!

Kat, I'll add one more thing to my earlier post. Now that you have this iconic and beautiful watch, you need to change your avatar to reflect this as your "watch".

Thank you.
No one, including the manager, and the Devon’s owns 3 Rolex ADs, had heard anything about the motif dials, or the YM ll being discontinued, despite having had a big Rolex meeting yesterday morning.

Thank you, Jason. I may have preferred a Jubilee, but this does look good. One thing I noticed, after playing with the configurator, is how much better the dial looks on the TT, than on white Rolesor.

Congrats Kat, that is a stunner. Wear it in good health.

The oyster bracelet is my favourite on these DJs.

Thank you , Gio. I have both, and it does give the Datejust a whole different look. This looks sportier, and it’s about Tennis, so………..

Congratulations on a great pick up. As I mentioned on another thread, my wife has the same watch but on a jubilee bracelet and she absolutely loves it.

As an aside, that’s exactly how I picked up my two-tone Submariner. Sometimes you just get lucky.

My new SA, who I already had a relationship with (bought our wedding jewelry from har, and my original SA, Dave, got a promotion to another location) asked me if I’d like to see the watch. I said, “Sure”. She offered it to me, and I am now the proud owner of yet another 36 mm Datejust: the Wimbledon bi-metal on oyster with yellow gold fluted bezel. Good thing my husband was with me, and approved.

Cool. I was surprised that a guy was there to pick it up, then changed his mind. Congrats on your Sub. When I started my crazy watch obsession, it was with a TT Seiko. When I started my Swiss watch obsession, it was with a TT Tag Heuer. Besides those two, I have stayed away from TT, but Rolex does it well. The Wimbledon definitely looks best in TT.

Awesome pick-up Kat!

Glad you got a piece you really have been wanting.

Maybe take it to Wimbledon? Just an idea. 😊
