I see them all the time, but I'm in NYC so there are a lot of people here with money to spend on wrist clocks. I actually see more Pateks though!

Gold/rose gold ROO's seem to be the watch of choice for footballers here in the UK. I have seen a number of them here in the North of England.

Only once in the wild. Last summer my girl and I were staying at the Wynn. While getting into the elevator from the pool area to go back to the room I hear someone say "Nice watch" I turn and the guy standing behind me is wearing a 44 FC ROO. I was wearing my 44 SS ROO. We had a brief conversation about how much we loved our watches and then the door opened and he got off. I tried to figure out if he was on the forums in the brief time. I asked him if he was on TZ etc and he stared blankly and said "no, whats that?" I told him about the watch forums and he shook his head. Then he said "nope, but I like watches" Looked at me like I was a little nuts.

That's funny!

There were a few guys at the recent AP golf day who were wearing APs but then that goes with the territory.

But what I didn't expect to see was one guy who is now responsible for the following question.... Have you ever seen someone in the wild wearing two APs, one on each wrist?

This particular guy had a bumblebee on one wrist and a carbon GP on the other. Very strange!

Maradona uses one in each wrist, but they are Hublot. Poor soul.

Yeah, me and Chris GMT master had this from his colleague at his ADs when we started talking about the forums and phrases such as "buy what sings to you" which for us is so clichéd and obvious but to her it was new and interesting and I think she made a note to use that in her sales pitch in future.

I've seen them all in the wild... all but another AP. Mind you, I love individuality but I'd have thought I'd have run into at least one up to this point? I must be hanging in the wrong circles.
I had never seen one except on a certain AP exec I met once.

After I bought mine I was meeting with a friend of mine in two days, who showed up wearing an AP. I'd only ever seen him wear Rolexes. I thought it was pretty funny.

Assuming that we're talking about seeing random people with these watches, I see APs almost daily in NYC. Same goes with pateks, rolexes, etc. The major brands that I see the least are JLC, VC (only twice that I can recall), and ALS (once, but it was a zeitwerk!). Shame really as those three make incredible timepieces.

I occasionally see AP being worn - mostly Offshore models in high end shopping stores. In airport lounges, its pretty much all Rolex.

Attended a meeting the weekend before last. A rep from a frame company was wearing a RO.

Complimented him on his excellent taste in watches and he said it was a gift from his employer. Turns out that someone at his company is close to someone of importance at AP.

Saw another RO having breakfast at our hotel in Dubai.

That's it - no other APs in the wild for me.

Rolex is everywhere. I have yet to see a AP in the wild in my area unless I look down and to the left! I don't think the Rolex AD's in my area have even heard of AP. I have gotten the "when you want to step up to a true luxury watch come see us" talk more than once. Don't get me wrong I love Rolex, and have owned a few. But there is no comparison when it comes to quality and as THEY say, Luxury.

Was on a flight (domestic) and the guy who sat down next to me was a young asian chap with a 15300, I eventually commented hoping not to sound like a tosser and he quickly told me how much he had wanted the AP RO and he was really chuffed I mentioned it, turned in to a nice conversation. Unfortunately I wasnt wearing AP on that day, other than that never seen one in the wild, not a lot down under I suppose....cheeers

Last month saw a mum in early 40s wearing a diamond RO quartz. Her daughter was finishing up her meal. Earlier that same month saw a guy in early 30s at a Chinese restaurant on a Bumble Bee..

I have seen one, and it was an AP Diver.

I met Josh Targoff (COO at Third Point LLC) at a Corporate Governance symposium. I spoke to him after and complimented him on his exquisite taste in watches with an AP Diver (as I showed him my AP Diver).

You can barely make it out in the picture, but the bezel's shine caught my eye the whole time he spoke :)

http://www.udel.edu/udaily/2013/nov/...ce-112912.html

I have had my AP noticed twice before in public. 1) An employee at Georgetown Tobacoo off of M street in DC. 2) a fellow WIS student at school who came up to me and asked what I was wearing (AP) and we compared watches as he was wear a Hublot BB. His dream was to own an AP so he was a happy camper to try one on in person.

Saw a few here in South Florida (15300, Rubber Clad and Diver that I can remember) but not as common as other brands.

I have seen a Navy one time - at IKEA south of Gothenburg. Quite funny I think.
That is prioritisation at its best.

The folks' country club down on Cape Cod was owned by Paul Fireman, the founder of Reebok and an investor (at least at one time) in AP, so the brand had frequent events there and a number of members rocked the watches on the course or dining room.

Thats what I kept telling myself, then I tried to repress the memory so that I can completely forget about it.

I've seem twice a ROO. Once one an Alitalia flight attendant and once one a guy in a Starbucks. I was sitting on a Barcelona - Madrid flight a couple of hours ago and a guy with a sea-dweller on the same row was persistently staring at my RO 14790. I didn't open up conversation because I don't approve of wearing huge dive watches with a suit. I am sure he was trying to figure out whether it was a Rolex

This past Saturday I was having lunch with my friend at an outdoor cafe in Portland. My friend is the GM of the local Ferrari dealership. Up walks the daughter of the owner of said dealership. Her husband was with her and he was a sporting a white dial Royal Oak. I had my IWC BP perp on and just as I was about to comment on his watch, they said there goodbyes and left. That was the first AP I have ever seen in Portland

2 on Sunday evening at London Heathrow Airport, one in the Prada store at the airport and the other just as I was leaving security. Both were ROO, one was a Navy and the other was a Panda. I didn't have any ROO on that day!:/
