The more I look at it, the more interesting it gets. It's definitely a special watch, and not everyone's cup of tea. But the company has showed the "cojones" to release something like this, so kudos to Tudor

dial-check, hands, bezel- check & check. I’m ok with the crown at 4 and the bezel locking mechanism- they could have stopped there and it would probably have looked pretty decent with a retro vibe.... but those slugs, end links and other strap bits....

maybe on a Nato it’ll look cleaner...

I don't hate it as much but I would hate it less with the crown / guards at 3.

The torches and pitch forks are over the top in some places. I mildly like some aspects of the watch but overall it is a miss for me.

I don't think Tudor thought this through "Hey let's make a new release of an obscure prototype that is commonly faked".

Do you know what I kinda like it. I'm new to Tudor and have a couple, not sure on the strap may have to see it in the flesh. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

The biggest flop for me goes even beyond the P0S, but just the stupid stunt they pulled teasing for a submariner

If you put together the New Year video with the rare, mythic red-bezeled sub that inspired the first black bay, with the 79090 triangle pic, with the shadowy pic showing a sub-like bezel, and with the 79090 instagram pic from a couple of days ago, anyone would have to be crazy to think they were coming up with anything other than a sub

And it wouldnt have been that hard... the bezel format is not that far from a sub-like bezel, thin like the old bidirectional ones... the dial is actually pretty decent wih the painted lume... all the rest is a complete wreck

Put that dial and bezel (with a black insert!) in a BB41, throw in some crown guards and an easy-to-do lollipop hand and a lot of people would have been very excited, even with the larger size vs classic subs

Come on, even SINN couldn't produce something this bad.

There is only one comment to sum this up...

Looking at actual real-world photos of this, I can see it gaining some traction as a field watch. However it is only going to attract a very narrow segment of buyers.

Tool watch on a half leather/half metal band.

I could almost see it being decent if you could toss it on a Nato and have it as a beater, but on the strap/clasp abomination they released it probably deserves to be forgotten.

There's several things not to get about this, but the choice of a leather strap might be the biggest head-scratcher for me. This was inspired by a prototype Tudor made for the Navy, but they put it on a leather strap? If you look at photos of the original prototype, they used a tropic strap.

Here's a fun video of the P01 on leather in action in wet conditions!
