Oh, poor Mike can't get a 5711 because the other rich man bought it and sold it to another rich man. I am now so sad...
All of this is a given. Where else can "rich guys" complain about their rich guy "problems" without being reminded they're rich guy jerks? That was until you reminded us that the rich guy has no clothes. Thanks a whole lot!

This thread reminds me of Brexit!

Pretty polarised with each side finding it hard to understand the opposing point of view.

No interest in watch flipping. My interest is more about the movements and yes the Rolex thing. I am not into ostentatious items but I see my Rolex purchase is something special after a few challenging years so I’m not pleased that a) I cannot obtain the watch I have made sacrifices for is currently out of reach b) when I step into an AD it feels like I’m being overly scrutinised to see if I’m out to make a quick buck. Before all this boost in demand I’ve only sold one watch that was lying in a cupboard for years hardly worn. I priced it to sell (at a loss) It transpires the buyer was a flipper as had relished the watch for sale even before he had paid for it! Surprise he didn’t get what he was expecting so he took delivery of my watch and held it before relisting- don’t think he made much when you factor everything in. I even considered buying it back!
