Additional attributes unique to only the DSSD include the new superb case architecture, featuring the high performance inner ring made out of BioDur
108, and a very thick 5.5mm domed sapphire crystal.

All these materials were carefully selected by Rolex for their superior hardness and strength. These all work in an integrated fashion to offer Rolex's most pressure-proof timepiece to date, down to a mind blowing 16,000ft in fact (25% higher than the level Rolex guarantees and necessary to meet ISO standards).

Suffice to say, it's a truly topnotch, one-of-a-kind, high quality timepiece worthy of the Rolex insignia. Throw in their legendary reputation, iconic history, sports lineage and you have yourself a bonafide winner.......just like the Sub!!!

At the next meeting we all need to bring wet suits, so we can get them all wet, and deep under the sea.

I just purchased the DeepSea and LOVE it! I tried both on and I preferred the bigger watch. I'm also 6'3", anything else seemed to tiny....

It's a great watch you'll love it!

For daily wear I would choose the Sub C.

Excellent Choice! You also forgot to mention the slim profile of the Exp2 which makes it extremely comfortable and fits under pretty much any sleeve/cuff without a problem.

IMO: DSSD is far too fat and heavy for daily wear. Given the same choice and with the idea of only owning one watch, I would go for the SubC. It fits under your shirt cuffs, has a lot of heritage, and will not look stupid if you happen to be in shorts and a T-Shirt.

Then again, I see no problem with owning a DSSD along with another watch (eg DateJust etc) as you could use the other for daily wear and the DSSD for hardcore sports and diving etc.

I will personally never get a DSSD as I find it a little obnoxious and impractical for general use. The DSSD belongs in the ocean where the size and engineering can be appreciated.

I find people who take the time to post negative comments about Rolex watches on the Rolex forum obnoxious. I could slate your watch all day long but that would be too easy.

Congrats on your new Sub c Levi, with all things considered (in your case) I also think you made the right choice first time around ... it's a classic with all the modern upgrades it needs.

Although similar in looks, the DSSD really is another watch entirely and will certainly wear differently to that of the Sub c but if you really want to acquire a 2nd watch in the future and like the feel and look of the DSSD on your wrist; I highly recommend the DSSD too.

Enjoy that Sub c in the meantime
