Will be cool to see if that patent drawing turns into something real some day :).
this is a great point.
I would also enjoy the engineering development of a simple foolproof method for this detail to be worked out... thats all it is a problem waiting for a clever solution.

as far as the direction of the crown from an aesthetic point of view, i have no concerns.

also a great point, be honest in the photos, leave the emblem off or perhaps use a patek cross design which doesn't have a top side?

To be honest, I kind of like that not everyone's is the same. I like to find specific identifiers for my watch so that if ever separated from me, I'll be able to identify it as MY watch.

Soon this will be a good marketing boost for selling a Rolex.

"FS. Perfectly Aligned Crown Rolex Watch. Price $500 more than misalign ones."

Just saying. That's all.

Isn't that what serial numbers are for. When will my thread be sticky status by the way?

On the DSSD, it's hard to read the serial number on the haute due to the convexity of the glass and ring system position. I was thinking more along the lines of if a bunch of buddies got together and accidentally mixed up our watches. But, you do make a great point for the other watches in the Rolex line up. They are probably much easier to read the serial numbers.

Anyway, good (funny) drama stirred up on this topic.

Bad news. I replaced my crown seal last night and now the crown is at a different angle. We're all screwed.

When will the Rolex gods answer our prayers.

Btw I am joking for those who will surely say its not their prayer and
They are happy with their crown and they are atheist and pray to no one ect...

I'm sure Rolex would oblige to have this but raise the price by another $1000 at least

Just got to ask all the guys with the CPUOD (crown pointing upright obsession disorder) when you bought your watches, did you inspect your watches for a perfect crown upright alignment. And if the crown emblem was not upright, why did you buy a Rolex watch. Or is it today most just wear the brand, and was the CPUOD factor mainly after reading about it on internet forums.

I wonder if that is a treatable condition.

I would doubt it first it was the hologram stickers, now it case serial stamps, outdated warranty papers, rehaut crown and insert alignment points.Don't think there will ever be a cure for these, but if there was perhaps there would not be anything to post about.Gone now are the important things about Rolex watches and the history of the RWC.Now its all about £££££$$$$$$$ will this or that go up in-value etc, perhaps I am getting old and its time to hang my hat up and retire.

Your statement is only applicable to flippers and folks who think Rolex timepieces are investments. There are some young folks out there such as myself who truly enjoy collecting and hoarding these precision instruments. I still don't see anything wrong with us poking fun at our timepieces from time to time... Oh well (insert face palm here)... FYI if you hang it up where would we get our history lessons from? Remember there are a bunch of us out here that actually read your meaningful post (no pun intended).

This is done since years by the pedants!! What is next? A custom made silencer for the movement? Sunshades for the plexi and/or zyclope?
Someone will always find something - I am sure...

The middle pearl of the coronet on my crown aligns at a perfect 90 degree angle with the case. If your's does not do this, it is defective. Send it to RSC immediately!

Better yet, send it to me!
