The 16710 weights in at a lean 127 grams. Mine feels incredibly solid but almost light enough to forget it's on my wrist. Its also a relatively low-profile watch so it doesn't feel bulky.

This one is so easy...
Pick up a 5 digit gmt and don’t look back.

Late model with lugholes would be my choice.

They are chunky watches to me. I tried on with an Oyster bracelet and did not like the heft or the bling. I'd sell and grab a GS GMT.

I can only imagine it is ill fitting.
Hopefully you can get the right snugness and be a happy chap with a very nice watch.

Meanwhile I’m tempted by an 800g platinum Daytona :D

Excellent

It never ceases to amaze me how many people set up their bracelets to be uniform off the wrist, or want the visible part of the clasp centred and not the clasp blades.

OP - for future reference, you size a bracelet by placing the watch head where you want it to sit on your wrist and removing or adding links to the six o'clock side only, to get the correct watch head/clasp placement.

Once you've done that, the adjustment to the 12 clock side of a bracelet is simply to tighten or loosen it - never for placement.

That's why the easy link (and glidelock) adjusts the 12 o'clock side length.

2. This is how my watch is balanced/a perfect fit on my wrist:
Attachment 1230528

Everyone's wrist geometry is different. If I tried to wear it with an equal number of links on each side, the torque would make it unwearable.

Play around with your links.
Absolutely this

I've got a watch with a butterfly clasp that looks even more extremely unbalanced off wrist than yours's does but fits perfectly on the wrist

Well said. Absolutely correct.

People's wrists are rarely perfectly round. For example, my wrist much wider on the outside edge compared to the inside edge, so on my GMT I have 4 links on the 6 o'clock side and 7 on the 12 side - perfect fit with everything centred on the wrist.

As stated, the key is to have the watch head centred on the top of your wrist, and the blades of the clasp (NOT the external part of the clasp) centred on the underside of your wrist. The 6 o'clock side of the bracelet is then adjusted to effectively join and 'lock' the head and clasp together. The 12 o'clock side of the bracelet holds the watch on the wrist (obviously!) and adjusts the tightness.

This is one reason I love a 36mm watch: It. Doesn’t. Matter. Looking at mine, it looks like dealer sizes from the 12:00 end, and the outer clamp is what’s centered. And it’s all completely unnoticeable because the watch isn’t large.

OP - is the issue with this watch or any watch? I ask because I own some PM pieces and some steel. After a day or two with the pm after the ss i forget its there, but at first, especially the first 12 or so hours I’m conscious of the extra weight. However, I’ve had watches like the SD43 that felt awkward every time I wore it. First I thought about the weight, but realized it was much lighter than my PM pieces. After some thought and wearing it over extended periods it became clear that the blend of the case back, lugs position, top heavy weight etc didn’t work on my specific wrist shape. It simply didn’t feel comfortable and the first conclusion one comes to is weight, but it isn’t. Some people’s wrist handle certain watches better than others, and likewise some watches that feel comfortable for one user can feel strange to another. Wrists are very different. Needless to say I sold my SD43 despite loving the subzilla.
