If another platinum Pro joins the Daytona, I think it'll be the YM before anything else. It was already the first to use platinum (bezel/dial) and it's celebrating its 30th this year.

I've noticed a pattern on the Sub: colored bezels, with black dials, exclusive to a particular metal. Except there's no YG "special" bezel. So, I'm thinking burgundy. YG + black dial + burgundy bezel would look pretty good, I think.

Will never, ever happen. Rolex isn't going to do something that would make its entry-level (i.e. stainless) pieces appear to be going down market, which is what swapping a bracelet for a rubber strap does. Also too utilitarian for the image Rolex has cultivated. OF works because it's so out of place on a PM luxury watch that it's cool. Next one to get OF will be DD40, is my guess.

There's a big difference, though: When introduced, all components of the Sub Date already existed: The movement and dial (at least the base of it) were already in the DJ. To get a Daytona Date would require engineering a date into the chrono movement.

Last week of March, at Watches and Wonders (whether the event actually happens in person or not).

Does anyone know when Rolex officially announces the discontinuation of any watches in the current catalog?

Pure speculative fun, I wouldn’t be surprised if the 116500LN is discontinued without any steel Daytona to replace it. Make the Daytona only in PM and consider it the daydate of the professional range.

- GMT Coke
- GMT LN
- GMT watches with Oysterflex option
- I'm hoping we get a new DJ41 with arabic numerals like the old Federer DJII but I'm not holding my breath

- Don't see any changes to Daytona happening, certainly not a Daytona date
- Air King and Milgauss are ugly watches and need to be put down

- End of year price predictions: Daytona $50k, GMT Pepsi $30k

But it’s always fun to make a wishlist, bet with our friends etc, Al in hope to be lucky enough to say “I knew it!”.

So let no take this too seriously and let’s just have some fun!

Here is what I think will happen, wish me luck LOL.

1.- Milgauss: will not change externally, only the movement to the improved 70hr power reserve.
2.- GMT coke will come back on a jubilee with 3285 movement
3.- Yacht master 42 will have a meteorite dial.
4.- Airking will have minor dial change and move to upgrade
5.- Datejust will have Stella dials introduced

I'll love to see the upgrade on the new Air-king, if I better than the previous year I might be thinking of flipping mine for that.

Rolex will close down all ADs and move to e commerce. Since there’s nothing on the show case anyway =)

I am beginning to wonder if Rolex will dare to have another watch with the “Tiffany” dial

Tin foil hat on: maybe the OP was just to test the waters, an see if the public like that kind of dial, which in a way would make sense with the OP being their cheapest watch.

So… Tiffany dial Daytona? Hahahahaha
Guess will have to wait just a few more months.
