Dear all, I just got the SD43 from an official Rolex dealer a few days ago. Does anyone know since when these are coming without the diver's extension? I was just told via e-mail that that is the way it is now... one can order the extension for an additional 410 €...

If I remember well,
it was announced in the 2022 W&W (march 2022) that the SD43 no longer come with the extension. Then, probably, the watches that were already on the market had it, but officially the date should be watch and wonders 2022 |

I picked my SD43 up in October of ‘22 from an AD in Honolulu. It had the divers extension, my buddy got one in January of ‘23 and it did not have it, so it seems like somewhere near the end of ‘22 they stopped being standard issue.

I purchased my TT SD from an AD in august of 2022 and it did not include the divers extension. It was still all wrapped up in the original packaging.

While my SD43 came with the divers extension installed, I had it removed and wear it without. It's much nicer to wear in that configuration.

My second go-round with the great SD43. First time, a couple of years ago, I found it a little heavy and not that comfortable. Now I realize I just didn't have it sized properly on my 6.75-inch wrist (remove the diver's extension, people!) and I was trying to wear it like a regular Sub, a little loose. (This watch needs to be more snug, especially on smaller wrists.)
I've been wearing it daily for a month now and find it very comfortable and not too heavy at all. Actually wears smaller than 43mm because of the tapered lugs. Not sure what I was thinking the first time around. I've always been a sucker for SDs, and have owned them all .... DRSDs, Great Whites, 16600s and even the 116600. Gotta say this SD43 could be my favorite modern version. |

hoping to score one. i dig the red on black. it's a watch with a lot of presence. a goldilocks fit. bigger than Sub, smaller than DSSD - love both of them, but when you want that one that fits right in the middle..has the cache

Photo & Picture Resizer works fine. Go to Resize, then Personalise resolution and size, use TRF limits: 1250x1250 and 293 KB. I prefer using Talpatalk Pro. I pay the small subscription fee and upload directly from the app, no need to manually resize. |

Bumping this thread. Also, the submariner date is not 43mm.

If you're gonna bump the thread, you could at least toss in a relevant pic, not just point out the obvious to all us SD43 owners/fans ... ...and regarding the topic of size...

There are no number(s) stamped on the bracelet...
Having said that, I doubt that anyone outside of an AD can order one (I'm not even sure grey dealers can manage that...). In any event, good luck with your search

Thanks for the size comparison. I’ve been looking for a comparison between the 11 and 12 series subs, the SD 43, and the DSSD. I might want to add one. I have a tiny 6.25” wrist but wear 42mm Omegas and 47mm Panerai.
