That's sounds like 2 bad product decisions right there!

The 44mm SS and the RG are perhaps the best looking APs in the entire lineup. Why mess that up?

Well, the OP mentioned only 3 of them (SS, Ceramic and RG, no mention of Pt). If the Pt is being discontinued too, well there is the 3rd bad decision.
