Does your lovely wife have a bushy mustache and was brought here from Russia?

Fully understand you there my friend, a great choice anyway, so not that important either.

So, looking at white polar 16570 3186 watches, has a great leap in prices taken place during the summer?

Chrono24 is pretty dried up, only 4 for sale globally, the most expensive pushing close to 10 000 EUR.

What's your opinion on pricing and availability?

Works for me, I have one! The Explore II 16570, especially the polar, has been underrated for sometime. People are starting to wise up as the current upward price trend reflects.

This is like saying the 42 long suit is too large. I prefer the 40 reg.

The explorer II, yacht masters, and miglgaus just never got the same celebrity as the gmt, submariner, and Daytona for some reason.

Hello All -

First post on this forum, long term observer. I own the black version of the Exp II and it's one of my favorite pieces. This thread is interesting to me and I've always been curious about the SS hierarchy and this model's position. In my opinion, Rolex marketed this model incorrectly from the beginning. Spelunkers? The only cave exploring I'm familiar with was in Bermuda and we couldn't get to the Swizzle Inn fast enough afterwards. Rolex seems to be moving away from this debacle and hopefully in decades to come the Exp II will become recognized as the equal to the GMT and Sub in the SS line.

Is the Swizzle Inn still a thing? Wow that brings me back. BTW like my Exp II, black face 42.

I think it’s the bezel! Don’t get me wrong, it’s a lovely watch, but it’s in the same money range as the Sub and for me it’s not even close.

What’s behind the green door?

This!

It’s also in front of the green door....

.......and out in the yard.

This is my second time around with the 216570 white dial and I’m happy to have her back. I prefer the “under the radar” aspect of this particular Rolex and I find the white dial to be crisp and refreshing.
I realize some people just don’t like a white dial watch, but I find much to like about the “polar” Explorer II.

Apparently another Ed agrees :-)

Trying out a new canvas strap for an upcoming exploration of the Mekong Delta. A little less bling then the oyster and very comfortable.

How big are your wrists?! I love the Polar Explorer II, but with 6 - 6.5 inch wrists, the 42mm is probably a bit big on me. I tried one on recently. It was big, but I wondered if I could just get away with it. Have not yet tried the earlier 40mm incarnation. I think my 40mm Sub looks OK, i.e. it fits my wrist OK.
So, does anyone wear the 42mm Explorer II on a 6 inch or so wrist?
Thanks!

That’s dope! That strap gives it a more tougher look than it already is

What kind of strap is that btw?

Only you can decide whether or not it is too big, it’s all a matter of personal taste. I much prefer the proportions of the 16570.

Funny thing is that’s what I actually like about this watch and then some other things of course.

But of course it’s a matter of personal preference, so each to their own

It’s a MiLTAT Zulu G10 canvas in forest green, you can find it on Amazon and Strap Code.

Thanks, love that tough look it lends to the watch. Feels like you can do whatever you want the watch will keep ticking away.

Here is another shot. Bare in mind that they use a heavy canvas, 12 ounce I think, so the watch will sit a little high. Not an issue for me.
