Here is the ring. Of course, with the current snowstorm we won't see the sun for two weeks so I can't get a star photo in natural light.

The ring weighs 96% of an ounce, 14k. There is a Lazare Ideal cut 12pt diamond on each side.

Anyway, here it is:

Nice looking ring, Bob. Does the "star" on a star sapphire change positions depending on the light source? I never realized that, but it looks like it does.

It reminds me of a moonstone, but with a star.

Speaking of rings, just picked this one up.

Wanted to see how you ladies liked it. Mikimoto pearl 8.5mm, 18K WG, the 6 diamonds are small, but they are cut and are flawless, so they have good color.

I like that just fine.

Gorgeous, Art. You can't find a nicer pearl, and that setting is so elegant. Someone's going to be very happy with it!

Thanks, it has nice weight to it. The band is not overly wide but has nice height to it.

Yes. Reading up I found that to be true. They say to avoid perfumes and perspiration. Event the storage is important. Can't use the usual gem cleaner on them. It mentions though that it is good to wear them.

Yes, the star moves with the stone's angle to the light source. It's very cool.

I like the pearl ring. I like pearls, especially black ones...

Hi everyone, been enjoying all the conversation and all the jewelry which has been shown and discussed. From the Native American(very beautiful pieces) to the sapphire and pearl rings. When it comes to Diamonds I believe it's worth the extra expense to buy the Ideal Cut Diamonds.....

Take it easy.....Leo

It's hard to photograph pearls with an iPhone. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1362494260.920408.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1362494278.700856.jpg

This is the imperial topaz I was telling u about, Lisa. It is a lot lighter than it
photographs. I should be ashamed for not getting out the good camera. HehImageUploadedByTapatalk1362494988.121703.jpg

Lion-you are getting the storm that just left us with 10". This year I finally have a snowblower which makes short work of it. I still have to wait for the stinking plow for the street, but work is pretty flexible about it since I claim old age and disability.

Hey Leo
I just got the topaz and have worn it a couple of times. I prob wear my pink tourmaline on my right hand more then the others.

Would a small snow blower be easier on your wrists??

Honestly Lisa,
Although I do like the imperial, I have never been a fan of the warmer colored stones, but I had helped a custom jeweler with some financial backing that she wasn't able to fulfill her obligation on...therefore...I became the new owner of this ring. :-/ it's cool tho. I wear it. :-)
I just assume people will keep their word, but sometimes they don't. :-))

Actually, I'm not familiar with the newer small snow blowers so maybe I should go out and look into and check out what's available. Then again with us living in a Co-op(which is like a townhouse)we do not have very much room for storing items.....but I'm sure it would make clearing the walks and parking spots a lot easier. Also we do not have any teenagers in the area I could pay to do the shoveling!!!
Thanx for the suggestion.....

Take it easy.....Leo

I hope that its value covered her debt, D.

I checked on my antique shop shelf today and some stuff had sold. Very exciting. I've restocked and am ready for more customers.

Leo, I bet no one here is more ready for spring than you are.

Do you have gardening thoughts, yet? I've started some tomatoes, pumpkin and herbs from seed and will put them outside next month.
