Anybody know the MSRP for the SS version? I think this will be my next watch since I love NO date watches.

I've heard a CHF price that corresponds to about $6,200 on a Euro forum.

If that is true it is a very reasonable price, given the tech package built into this watch

I agree. Even forgetting the anti-mag movement, just the new clasp is a huge improvement over the current PO.

the steel version is good and has fake patina...but the blue titanium version does not have fake patina...those looks and movt. in titanium with liquidmetal and no fake patina and no date! I am absolutely thrilled.

Are you sure about that? There's a picture on time-zone which clearly shows the blue one with yellow lume.

I could live with the fake patina, but I hate the case back, hands and PCLs. I don't know what Omega is trying to do. They seem confused. Do they want this watch to represent Omega of tomorrow or yesterday? It does neither, IMO. I just don't get what Omega is trying to accomplish with their new watches.

I love my 2254.50, but I doubt I will ever buy another Omega. I just don't get them anymore.

But hey, at least it's reasonably priced. Despite all my gripes, I cannot deny that for $6200, that's a lot of watch.

And with 60 hours of power reserve, it has more power reserve than my 114060 plus it's anti-magnetic like a Milgauss, has a patina like a $10,000 Panerai, has a sandwich dial like a U-boat and Panerai, and has the shape of a Blancpain Bathyscape at first glance lol

Hardly. No piss lume watch will ever touch my wrist.

At least Omega didn't use the U-Boat "flush it down the toilet for patina treatment"!

Matte dial... polished center link... fake patina... and whats up with that odd steel ring around the inside of the bezel? It makes the dial appear really small.

WTF OMEGA?

I was hoping for better.

I will say the size is nice as is the movement and clasp.

I concur! Especially that it has 15 times the anti-magnetic resistance (15,000) of a Milgauss (1,000) with a lower price point.

This watch makes me want to buy a vintage seamaster 300. LOL, Amazing watch though.

does the dial (both fautina and markers) match the lugs shape (crisp, sculpted & modern) and bracelet (PCLs)?

to me, it seems like the dial and bezel (old style/re-edition) was slapped on a different watch (new style)?

The straight lugs case looks like the vintage Seamaster (or Speedmaster), the PCL not so much. Omega also used the PLC on the Speedmaster '57 for some reason.

It looks like a modern impression of the older watch. If they got rid of the yellow lume and changed the middle/outer link ratio on the bracelet, I think it would be lovely. After looking at this picture, I really don't like how the bracelet is 60% polished middle link with two small brushed outer links. It looks really odd.

I've seen people who have brushed the PCL's on GMTIIC's so I'm sure that's an option here, but I'm not sure if it's possible to brush the polished case.

I've seen a fully brushed BP Fifty Fathoms (not the LE, but a regular one), so it's possible. I wouldn't do it myself though!

Ah, it originally said it had a date now that's been removed from the specs, so there was something missing. Doesn't matter, really, but I just thought it was odd.

I am also confused by the description of its co-axial calibre 8400 movement. It says in the omega website... "This self-winding movement has a time zone function and.... "

Now, what is a time zone function? Obviously, this is a watch that tells time so why do they describe the new movement as something that has a "time zone function"?

Like the bezel glowing, the overall look, but the new patina just feels contrived. In a weird way makes me appreciate my Railmaster dial even more!

The bezel doesn't glow... It's ceramic with liquidmetal numbers.
