This particular guy had a bumblebee on one wrist and a carbon GP on the other. Very strange!
Hah
Interesting!

Last week I was on Turkish Airways from Istanbul to Macedonia and a flight attendant was wearing an RG 44mm. At one point while he was serving refreshments I commented, "love your watch". He smiled a little, nodded, and looked a little embarrassed. Saw it in motion from about 5 feet away and it looked legit. I hate to sound like a stereotyper, but it was hard for me imagine getting a US$47k watch on that salary. (Of course salary isn't always the only source of income.) Are there even good fakes out there yet of the 44mm, since it's only a year old??

Spotted a panda last night at George's at the Cove in La Jolla. Always nice to see another AP in the wild.

Whilst we all fall into the trap of occasionally stereotyping you just can't tell sometimes. I know someone who inherited 1m at 18 and a further 1m at 21......he's a gardener.

Good for him, I wish more people would handle their life like that. Just live it the way they want and not being overruled by money itself

I have seen APs in the wild. In Orlando Florida, someone was sporting a ROO (I can't recall which one, but he complimented my YG Langematik Perpetual choice due to its rarity). In Long Island NY I've seen a guy at a restaurant bar a few times sporting a rubber clad.

Very few, a couple of friends, my divorce lawyer, someone from work. That's it.

Rolex is very popular as mentioned, which is not a bad thing, they are easy to sell and I'm a mad flipper, I always sell them almost immediately and take very small losses if any.

I have seen fake 44mm cases since maybe 8-10 months ago...coincidently, also in the RG case (screws were all banged up though)...

Yes, Saw a Millenary 2 weeks ago in NYC, albeit when I was at AP sending my RO in for service. So does that count? Actually its a pretty watch when seen on another wrist.

Several weeks ago I saw another customer wearing a black ROO with some red markers and hands, I don't remember the model but I know he told me it was a limited edition. When I complimented him on it he seemed a bit surprised that somebody would notice his watch, he asked me if I knew what brand it was and when I said yes his eyes got very big and he seemed very glad, he told me he had a passion for watches and we spoke for about five minutes about some brands. It was a very pleasant conversation that, alas, had to be shortened as I was working but the man was very nice and seemed happy to see a young (future) watchmaker. He also showed me pictures of other watches he had in his collection...it was very impressive!

I've never noticed anyone in my travels wearing AP. We all know the reason. As a percentage of the population, very few people own high-end watches. Among those that do, 99% percent of that is probably Rolex and a sprinkling of Omega and Cartier. Bennahmias touched on this as an opportunity for growth in an interview that someone posted here.

At dinner tonight saw a 44mm ROO RG and a 4101 millenary at Mastro's ocean club in crystal cove. First time seeing a 4101 in the wild and it looked sooooooo good.
