It is possible for established clients that is not the case, however, that is not what was communicated to me.

Yep, Downtown Chicago's only AD. They have become quite difficult to make traction with when the Nautilus exploded.

not suggesting by any means that your money is any different from my money, or anyone else who might be more local to the AD. aside from FX impacts and AFC issues, the money should be all the same to the dealer.

All I'm saying is that it's between you and the dealer, and it presumably might be challenging to maintain an active and long-standing relationship with them if you're not around much, or in another country. (maybe you visit NJ a lot, who knows). Sincerely hope that you don't have issues getting your deposits back.

At the same time, I thought the whole rationale behind local dealers was to serve the local community and build relationships. Otherwise, what's the point? Patek may as well go direct, and cut not just their ADs but the boutiques too. Become like Amazon and drop-ship product from a warehouse?

whatever the case... I am relatively new to this area of NJ, and the Cliffside Park AD is now the closest one to me. 3 yrs back, I brought my 5712 there to get the bracelet resized and asked about a 5711 (before much of the craziness). They didn't bother taking a deposit; took down my name, but of course I never received a call. It's fine.. I don't blame them. (And thankfully, I now won't have to chase them for my $ back.) hope everything works out.

The closest AD for me is around 250 miles away. The AD didn't take my info for any hot watches since they prefer dealing with local residents.

Because I was bored today, I searched and made a list of the 7 Patek AD locations in the United States that lost AD status (85 ADs listed in December to 78 currently):

D'Amore Jewelers - Cliffside Park, NJ
Hamilton Jewelers - Palm Beach, FL (Worth Avenue location, other 2 locations are still ADs)
Harold Freeman & Son - Bellair Bluffs, FL
Hesselbein's Jewelers - Carmel, CA
McCarver & Moser - Sarasota, FL
Razny Jewelers - Highland Park, IL (other 2 locations are still ADs)
Treiber & Straub - Brookfield, WI

I was at McCarver and Moser a couple of months back, not the friendliest bunch at either location.

Thank you for this. Surprised Hamilton on Worth Avenue. Huge ultra high end destination.

So Tourneau is the only remaining AD on Worth Avenue now?

Interesting ! For the two ADs that consolidated from 3 to 2 stores, makes sense. Hamilton has locations in palm beach and palm beach gardens so prob didn’t make sense to create new Patek spaces at both of these stores which are not that far from each other.

A few of those on the list still haven't updated their site.

Anyone gone dumpster diving at them?

Tiffany Houston and Atlanta are still on the list, so guess they are not getting removed as someone mentioned?

Only Calatrava and ladies models left, think I also saw a 5396, 5305, but they weren’t really willing to talk on price. Would’ve liked to pick up something for the significant other, will try again in a few weeks.

My AD also got cut :(

Almost picked up a 5146g from them last year.

Only the HourGlass and JFarren Price left with AD status here in Sydney...

Curious, does anyone know what happens to the inventory at those ADs that get closed?

Does Patek just take them back and redistribute to other existing ADs?

Some other poster suggested they must be returned because the AD is longer a Patek AD and can’t sign the warranty paperwork

The one AD I dealt with that lost their status just sold off their remaining inventory.

yeah, i think the point being that they probably sold it before they were no longer an AD at whatever discount necessary. Otherwise wouldn't they be selling a watch w/o papers or a valid warranty?

I think there is a lot of last minute "sales" to avoid this. As at least you can sell it on preowned w/ a valid warranty provided the AD sold it before they were no longer an AD.
