I wonder where the 2nd SD4K is going to be seen - odd that just one (and only one) has surfaced.

If they're only in Japan so far, lots of Japanese don't frequent English forums, or speak much English. Maybe check a Japanese language forum?

""The New Sea Dweller 4000 has Landed"" / First one in the wild (Pic Heavy)

Methinks that wouldn't result in any new sightings. WUS would likely have had other comments. Or our own members there.

If I didn't already have a DSSD, this would be my Rolex dive watch choice.

Very nice - wear it in good health.

one of the features i like best is the gradiated bezel!

i wish they could have done a little bit of a dome crystal, like the DSSD

My AD in California said that he is getting an surprise visit from the Rolex Rep on Saturday, and when he asked about the SD 4000, the Rolex Rep would not say a word about it. But this is coming from an AD that does not have the official price sheet on the SD 4000 yet.
So hopefully they will have plans and date for the U.S, release

It sounds like the UK will be seeing them hit the AD's by Monday. So you can at least try one on.

Interesting as I found the gloss dial and matching bezel is something I love on the SubC but then I love the matte dial on the Milgauss and Explorer.

But then if the matte dial, bezel markings and crystal work when I see it it person and I want one it will coexist nicely with my SubC

Need to see n handle in person I think, it's a great watch for sure but why oh why oh why no dome I mean come on how difficult would that have been for Rolex to make to have a perfect diver - without a dome it's a deal breaker just doesn't have the aesthetics I look for (I had dssd and the dome on dssd made it feel special)

it's not like the painted aluminum bezels aren't shiny.
