Al Fayed sold that store 7 years ago mate! Forget the Harrods connection. A beautiful shade of green with nice detailing is what makes it. Nothing to do with collaboration. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Don't forget, those were the "good times", he sold and now the Qataris and their "network" own this, even worse.

As I said its a beatuful watch but the whole "Harrods edition" puts me right off. Is there an engraved "H" somewhere?

Don't be tempted, the Qataris who own Harrods and stole the World cup, will make as many as is demanded as they are a fully commercial enterprise and Tudor are accommodating them, this is not a limited edition in any way.

Too many different colors going on with it, with the bezel markings in white/silver, then gold on black on the dial and aged cream lume, green bezel etc. Nothing ties together, looks like a frankenwatch

If you can land one then get it. Will always be worth more than RRP and could go through the roof wether they make 100, 1000 or 10,000. It's cheeper and quirkier than an LV and it's made by Tudor. Can't lose

I thought this was a watch forum - not a bashing site. Only time will tell if it is a true limited edition or a long term line |

Thats factually incorrect and without any legal evidence - hence why no one has been prosecuted.
Harrods seems to have been significantly upgraded since the Qatari's took over and continues to be THE British retail landmark. My point is that there is no need for pointless bashing of Qatar If you don't like Harrods then vote with your wallet - albeit you may end up having to pay a premium if you want the special LE model... if it is LE after all... |

As for the Qataris and the world cup you can draw your own conclusions from the myriad of articles like below or just bury your head in the sand. https://www.theguardian.com/football...2022-world-cup |

Just to throw a spanner into the mix of this forum,
I picked up my watch this evening and am incredibly happy with it. I bought it as a watch that I will wear on a regular basis, whilst knowing that I have a special, numbered watch on my wrist. I don't particularly like harrods but I think it's hard to deny that this watch is a special piece and deserves all the hype it gets. The black bay itself stands alone in terms of quality for its price, and the colour used on it really compliments it. Also, I don't think that many of the buyers of this watch, as well as those on the wait list have bought/put their name down because of the Harrods link, however questionable some people in this forum think they are (which I am neither agreeing nor disagreeing with). On a final note, let's try and keep this forum clear from all the opinionated, non watch related conversations because it really takes the focus away from what this particular feed is all about. I like the watch but seems to me the Rose would better suit the personality of a limited watch sold in a London shop. Still think the less than 3,000 black Bay black eta with Rose is the one to buy.

100Monkey (the watch dealer) is going on about his, but no pictures of it! So, com'on show us... unless its all bull??? I'm on the list and heard nothing. I can only think Mr Monkey is full of it, or knows someone on the inside as a dealer... kinda not fair if you ask me!

Anyway, I appreciate your optimism. I live in the States and offered up my payment information right away. I was told they'd call me. I've put in a call to Amex already letting them know I could be seeing a charge from overseas. Quote:
Apart from the thickness of the Black Bay's midcase, something that likely won't change anytime soon, the other thing that I would change about this piece is the green tipping to the seconds hand. I actually have posted on the forum about how one would go about getting it changed and I didn't seem to get any answers that helped. First I'd have to get a standard gold Black Bay seconds hand and then go through an independent watchmaker. |

Ok... I've got my tail between my legs! Please accept my apology. I didn't see any pictures, just loads of comments saying how lovely it was, but without any visuals.... and now I've seen it, wow it's beautiful! I'm still waiting for the call... the longer a wait the less chance I have. Such is life. To the people that have one, you are lucky sods! :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
