8 guests seems like a lot considering this is an inside thread and not something a stray visitor might be interested in.

When you go to a foreign land and repose your trust in someone you believe is a friend, the abuse of that trust is quite a serious matter.

A tendency to spin and benefit from others starts with small things and then gets out of control.

Small white lies get out of control. Some false statements may even be well meaning in some cases but they are nevertheless 'false'.

Whether one is told that they can get a hotel for x% discount or sell a watch at $x below RRP, if those statements are made without the known ability to deliver and made to another knowing that the other is going to rely upon the warranty and act to his/her detriment a deception occurs.

It's about being responsible, true to oneself and those around them.

I feel I was lucky in my case to receive a refund (via a third party), and Dalip has been less fortunate.

I don't know what people think but it would be great to show some sense of community and restore a little faith in Dalip's confidence and trust.

Dalip's wife and son were also affected by what has happened, and that should be put right.

Well said Stevo.

If Dalip does come to Florida, we'll restore his trust (although his liver may disagree)

What a horrible thing to do. I wonder if Phillipo is even hurt??? After reading about half of the posts.......I wanted to pay the damn 750 myself....just to make it end. Sorry you had to go thru this. Trust should be a four letter word.

If I followed the story correctly, Phillipo did not work for the hotel, but the company that owned the hotel, Is this correct? if so I am not suprised the hotel did not know who he was. I am in no way saying his stories are not rittled with wholes and lies - because it is, I just don't know that that proves that one lie
