Rolex Datejust 36mm too small for man's wrist?

the 36 has been around since the early 50s. the bigger watches are a bit faddish and who knows when the fad will pass. the 36 has proven its timelessness

I don't think 36mm is too small. It's perfect for a dress watch.

My 114200 Air-King is 34mm. I think it is the perfect size; a classic. However, it does not shout Rolex like some of the sport models do, in my opinion

36mm isn't too small at all. I'm a 6'2" former linebacker and love my DJ36, my oyster prince 35, my seamaster 34, and my minisub 34. I also wear a speedy and a Pelagos, but anywhere from 35-42 I think hits the sweet spot.

36mm is a classic size for most wrists, so it all come down to personal preference. I think a 36mm watch looks good on even a relatively large wrist, but then again I've been gravitating towards smaller watches in general lately. 36mm is certainly almost perfect for my relatively small (6.75") wrist.

Love the 36mm with the jubilee. I like the DJ41 with the oyster. I have very large wrists and I would wear one in a second!

I sold my 36 mm and bought all 40mm. Last year I sold some 40mm watches to get back to 36mm. I now have everything from 34mm - 43mm and love wearing all the pieces. I have to say the 36mm datejust is the most comfortable watch I have.

Take your time and do a lot more homework before buying. The feeling of a 36mm will be different depending on if it is your only Rolex or a 2nd or 3rd one.

I can't remember if I posted already in the thread (old people and smartphones...) but I wear a 34 MM TT Date. There was a time when 34 and 36 were the norm....I'm hoping the trend of "bigger is better" slows down.

If Rolex announced today that they will be transitioning to making a 38mm Datejust, all of the 36mm lovers would be standing in line screaming, "YES".

36mm is a small watch by modern standards. Wear what you like, but by all measurable data, watch buyers are going for larger than 36mm.

I had a 36mm date just with the black concentric dial. Loved the look of it but it always felt too small. Ended up selling it.

Agreed, no way it's too small unless you have a 8" + wrist (in which case....luck you with the newer bigger pieces!). I was expecting HL65/Ken's shot of his 1016.
