I have to say the champion for me are Breguet Marine dual time. This watch have many compliments.
For Rolex my Sub TT 116613LN have notice and SD in rose gold but SD for many people is too much opulence!

the Hulk, although only one or two times noticed in the five years of ownership. Come to think of it, in the last 15 years I can count on one hand the number of times people have noticed my watch. I kind of like it that way though :)

Now that I have had the Platona for over a year, I can say that no one has ever commented on it.

No wait, the other day in a high end furniture store the lady helping us was wearing a Cartier Pasha. I told her I owned the exact same one once, and she complimented me on my Rolex. So there you go. One notice in over a year. And I initiated it.

I just think most people don't notice or care.

I have only ever received 2 compliments. One on my 16610 and one on my 116710.

The 16610 was noticed by a convenience store employee who blurted out "ROLEX" when he saw it on my wrist.

The 116710 was noticed by a coffee shop employee. He said he liked my watch but he didn't know it was a Rolex.

My YG Sub 116618 LB. The all YG and blue sunburst dial is very eye catching.

The 116610 LV also received a lot of attention from the public when I owned one.

I really feel that it is the Person, that solicits compliments from others...

Meaning, if your open to conversation, more people will feel like they can compliment you on your watch...

Now, if you Open like me, and wearing the watch Below, you will get them compliments daily...!

I wear Rolex every day without exception.

I don't think anyone has ever noticed my Sub and I've only had a couple of compliments on my SS Silver dial 36mm DJ. I think to most 'normal' non-WIS types the 36mm DJ fluted bezel is the stereotypical Rolex that people recognise.

My old seadweller got many complements followed by is it real ! My Panerai gets all the attention, mainly because it's that big at 47mm you can't miss it.

Out in public, my LVc has been commented on the most. (about 4 times in nearly 5 years!)
In an AD environment, my smurf has had the most compliments.
On TRF, my 1680 seems to get the most feedback.

Explorer II has been noted twice. First time a young woman wanted to make an exchange with some fashion label watch of hers. Other time one younger guy said that "yes thats a Rolex" He seemed to know about movements and so on. Deepsea gets attention, but people don't know it's a Rolex. An average person thinks Rolex looks like yellow gold Day-Date with diamonds.

My Milgauss GV has never received a comment, but the 1625 TOG (circa '65) on a "hipster retro" styled leather bund strap, gets comments all the time. When the TOG is on the "rest home" leather strap ..................... nothing !

I think I wore my stupid apple watch one time out of the house in 3 years, and heard more about that than wearing an AP or any rolex.

Go figure.

As an enthusiast, if the conversation lends itself, I always compliment someone on a nice watch, even if it's not my taste !

A "lower end" Rolex (compared to some) is as hard for me to acquire, as a $300 Seiko is to others. Their passion may be as great as a Patek owner and should be recognized, especially if they are of a younger generation. There may soon be a time when watches will not a part of the average individual's life due to the electronic age.

I find this fascinating.

I have been wearing Rolex in all it's glory for 30 years including a bevy of subs, DSSD's, Pepsi's, YM's, DD's and Daytona's in all sorts of lovely materials as well a a fair sampling of PP and JLC and not heard a peep. Maybe it's partially because I wear them fairly discretely and partly due to my location up here in America's Heartland.

The AMG, however, gets a 'nice ride' at almost every gas station......

No big deal; I think most of us indulge in these luxuries for ourselves rather than the anonymous John Q Public.

Gratefully only once, years ago, my 36mm Explorer. Guy grabbed my wrist in the checkout line and asked if it was a Rolex. Stupid idiot, he almost got the surprise of his life. Had to tell me he had an Air King 34mm. Only time in 50 odd years of Rolex wearing. Now it's strictly my oyster quartz, 36 white gold day day-date. Very subtle.

Well I only have ONE.... However I get stopped and approached by other Rolex owners and especially the Collectors in my area. When you sport a vintage looker like a Top hat Submariner 1680 the comments come right along with a few offers of cash on the spot, well at least after the Rolex dealer verifies the authenticity. Most leave me a phone number just in case I change my mind.

Only once has someone noticed any of my watches. I was getting a slice of pizza and the guy behind the counter said nice submariner. I smiled and said thanks.
