...alrighty then...WE HAVE RESERVATIONS...

...Fred (Latrodectus) and I have our reservations for this fine event!

...we are staying at the Hampton Inn located at 1550 Mt Zion Rd in York!!! Our reservations are for the nights of 16, 17, and 18 Jun, checking out Sat 19 Jun.

...if anyone is interested, the phone number is 717-840-1500.

...rates are very similar between the Hampton, Holiday Inn, and Comfort Inn.

...the accommodations include QUEEN beds and a GREAT breakfast bar including HOT food, ie bacon, sausage, eggs, omelets, waffle maker etc., and fruits etc.

...EVERYONE better make their reservations NOW.

...the desk told me that many of the motels will be booked solid with the advent of the watch show!!!

...let the GOOD TIMES begin.

So far we have 6 for our GTG on June 18, 2010 @ 7:00 pm at the Left Bank.

If there are more people who want to come I need to know as soon as possible, because at present we can get a table in the window, but max for that is 6 people; more and we must move to an area that can accomodate more people at one table. In addition, they are likely to fill up soon because of all.the people coming into town that weekend.

I note with great satisfaction that the Masters Of Louisville are now reserved and Pac is a 'very likely.' A small but elite Band of Watchmen...
Best,
Dan

Anybody still looking for a single free pass to the Wed/Thursday show ? I have one kindly provided by Blaine that I won't be using, since I can only be there on Friday with the TRF/Left Bank crowd.

Stan + Fred, thank you again for the info !!
I will be booking my room tomorrow (Wed.), and will be staying the same time as you guys !! I HIGHLY recommend the Hampton Inn !!
We stayed at thier Ohio location, and they have EXCELLENT service, and a SUPER breakfast buffet !! I've been to MANY hotels around the world, and for the price, you cannot beat the Hampton Inn !

Ok. You guys are out on Mt. Zion Road(Hampton Inn), about 1/4 mile from the York County Prison, where they house about 1000 USICE detainees at any one time, and a place I visit on the average, of about 1x per week. Lovely accomodations, if you like that sort of thing.

From Mt. Zion Road, you will go West on Rte 30 over to West York where the Fairgrounds are located and the Toyota Center and Show.....about 20 minutes ride(not very far, but traffic). Take 30 West to Rte 74 Exit(West Manchester Mall), about 7 or 8 miles West from Mt. Zion Rd. Make a left at light at exit ramp...follow 74 south about 1 mile or so, and you will see the Fairgrounds on your right...huge track, grandstand, buildings, not easy to miss. There will be a review class and quiz later on......

Best,
Dan

Say Dan, since you're giving out directions, how 'bout a quick discourse on the route one would take off the Gettysburg Pike exit ?

Well, it's OFFICIAL !!
I've just booked our reservations for the Hampton !! We ended up getting a great deal ! (Two queen beds, plus a fridge, and a microwave). I checked the prices yesterday, and went back today to check them out again, and it went down by almost $150 !! (for the 3 nights plus the tax). Only thing was you had to pay in advance, so they took the money out ASAP (which is I thought is what hotels usually do anyway when you book a room online ??) , and you get no refunds if you cancel, but I have NO means of backing out this time, so God willing we WILL be there !!) So, I booked it !!
SOOOOO excited !! Can't wait to see everyone there !!

Are you going to the show or the Left Bank?

Show: follow Rte 30 East towards York and Lancaster and Philadelphia....
about 20-25 miles until you will see signs for 462East and Rte 30 East. Follow the bypass Rte 30 East, and go about 3 miles on Rte 30 East until the first exit which is Rte 74. Go right at the bottom of the Ramp...that is Carlisle Road, follow Rte74/Carlisle Road south into town about 1/2 mile and the Fairgrounds is on the right...you cannot miss it...it's huge.

Left Bank Restaurant same directions as above. Follow Carlisle Road, PAST the Fairgrounds(on your right) until you come to a Big T. Go LEFT at the T and that will take you into town on MARKET STREET. Follow Market Street about 2 miles until GEORGE STREET(center of YORK). Go LEFT on GEORGE STREET until Philadelphia Street, go 1 block past Philadelphia Street
on GEORGE STREET(heading north on George) and park. LEFT BANK is on your LEFT.

Capece?
If you get lost call me. PM for cell phone. I won't be able to help you, because by that time I'll likely be drunk, but it'll be an amusing call anyway.

best,
Dan
