Here is my Yacht master with its new brushed finish well not totally.

Criteria was:

Brush Bracelet leaving sides polished
Brush top of lugs leaving sides of case polished.

Before

Not a huge difference but I think it just makes it a little more understated.

What do you think?

Nice brush job on the YM. I love some earlier posts where it had been done to the GMT and the Milgauss. I have yet to see a brush job on PCLs that doesn't improve the overall look of a SS sports watch. Too bad this isn't a factory option.

Don't want to post the brushed Milgauss yet again, but that's the one in terms of transforming the look. Never liked that watch much until that picture.

A simple cyclops-ectomy to clean up my116610LN (which I think is the first of it's kind). It's simple compared to the awesome mods in this thread (love the polar face on the GMT and Subs!).

+1 - on my "to buy" list is a GMT II and I would brush the PCLs and remove the cyclops like my Sub above...

The brushed look matches the tool-ness of the watch better. In fact, I'd do it to a Daytona too. Sacrilege!

That looks crazy good. Did an AD do the swap in house or did you have to send it in to a service center?

Thanks! I took it to the SF Service Center and they swapped out the crystal (w/cyclops) for a crystal without a cyclops.

More info and pics here: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...=162895&page=2

I think I should post up a separate thread based on the numerous comments

Thanks for the comment . I new I'd prefer it brushed but I didn't know whether it was the right thing to do. I'm the same with cars, I tend to keep them standard or stock.
I guess if I was planning to sell I'd have not brushed it. I do think rolex should give you the option, as that brushed milgauss is amazing.
