Sold off USEG and AMCO today for about a 7% profit, got tired of having the funds tied up. May add more RXMD to the stockpile tomorrow. Good luck everyone!

Taking profit is always good trading policy, however, that cost me 1.4 million ... had apple early 2003, 1000 shares. You do the math... split twice since then.. the first time twice, then the recent one 7 for 1....

Ouch!

I go for small short term earners (small companies) and use the proceeds for long term goals. I'll re-invest in short term stocks if the price comes back down to my buy price, and re-harvest profits days or weeks later. I'm still sitting on long term stocks from years ago that I won't touch anytime soon. I use this strategy since I'm not a large volume investor.

Holding HACK and FEYE For cyber security plays. Traded HAL and USO recently. Both netted 6+%.

The S&P has risen from about 1800 to 2050 in a year. That's about 15%. Most will underperform that very simple trade on any stocks.
Good luck.

You had plenty of opportunities to get back into AAPL over and over again over the years.

Naturally. Most hedge funds underperform what the market does.. Yet people still invest with them

Then again the average person loses most of what they put in if the do it by themselves

I presume you bought a CFD? Or did you actually put down $3 million to make $800k. You've done well. However what a stupid risk. No offence.

I manage a $80 million book and yes it was TWTR, so it was about 3.5% of assets, no bid deal. I stay below 5% on all allocations and run 7-10% trailing stops.

had to ask. People do crazy things when it comes to financial markets.. And then wonder how they lost it all

Anybody in FireEye? Up over 12% today on a solid Q4'14 ER last night. HACK doing well too. I think FEYE is now the largest position in the ETF.

I own plenty of hack, gave it to everyone here a few weeks ago. FireEye is tied with Qualys (also having a great day) at 4.8% in the #1 spot.

I like Hack a lot, right industry and with 30 holdings it's way safer than playing one or two names.

I am with azguy on Tesla. No likey. Overvalued for a niche car market. Way too much hype. It's not an iphone. Its just a car.

Thinking of adding a few positions next month... Went through both HACK and ROBO and liked CSCO, LECO, RTN and ROK for stocks that check the boxes for my trading style and filled some voids for my portfolio. Any thoughts on those tickers?

Street's liking CYBR's ER numbers and guidance. Maybe a massive short squeeze in the making. I am not touching it though.

The Yachtmaster is nice! Wife has the midsize 35MM version. I treated myself today to a JLC Master Chronograph from the FireEye profits.

The top 10 holdings in the HACK ETF seems to be pretty dynamic.

FEYE is number 1 at 5.22% and Qualys is number 2 at 4.77%.

FEYE and HACK were good calls!

You get in on ASPX? Up again today ~3.2% or $4.87 /sh right now!
