The movement is thicker. Which means that one this watch gets implemented through out the entire RO line, expect all the cases to increase in thickness slightly too. Thats Includes the ROC getting much thicker, which is quite thin at the moment in comparison to other top swiss in-house movement chrono watches. And even though its a minor increase its not one I think collectors will appreciate.

I was sorting on ''new''.
Is this a 2019 release as well? Or did I miss this last year? https://www.audemarspiguet.com/en/wa....OO.1240BC.01/ |

I also noticed that there is no white dial on 15500?
I think white dial was the most beautiful After blue on 15400. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Where's the new silver dial 15500 ??
Not sure what to make out of it. The "improvement" is just the new movement. It doesn't entice me to upgrade. Also the thickness has increase from 9.8mm to 10.4mm

I’m very pleased with the 15500 personally. New movement with better PR, improved date window positioning and a more 15202 shade of blue from the looks but could just be APs computer rendering.
Love that new WG jumbo in fact I called for that exact watch in a thread where people asked for a dream watch lol I fear the price and availability

The thing is the website calls the dial “rose gold” I hope it’s as it appears and not shiny rose gold. Wouldn’t be able to get one anyways with such short production.

I’m not sure if people noticed but it appears the dial is a step dial now. The minute marker lines appear to be on “stepped” part of dial. Not sure how that will look. Resembles 15407 step dial for the minute marker |

Not quite sure what I should do... I can have 15400 blue dial immediately or wait for 15500.
From pictures, I would say 15400 but I am tempted by new mouvement (4hz, larger so nicer in the case back) but don’t like the extra thickness it implies. I am concerned about retained value of 15400 with the new 15500 as well. What you guys think? |

I would add that I could get 15400 blue at MSRP. It is a no brainer isn’t it?
