Thank you. I haven’t regretted the change for a minute. The Platona was awesome, and I used the heck out of it; some might say abused. Now, I’m really enjoying the 5370 and the rest of my small collection.

Sad you had to let it go but the 5370 is stunning too!

I didn’t have to, but I was ready for a change. The crazy market had been tempting me to sell for a year. I should have done it sooner!

The diamond hour marker version now gets chestnut sub-dial rings. I like the added brown but appreciate some prefer the cleaner look on the out-going model.

Hi, can someone educate me on the difference between the normal dial and burgette dial regarding the hands? The hands and sub-dial hands all look same to me.

Also, I note that the warranty card just says 116506. How do you know if came as original dial or burgette dial?

This is the original 11506 platona.

For me i hated the watch when i saw it on the pictures of baselworld.

But in real life it amazed me and IMO this is for me the nr 1 watch in the world.

The weight , material colour ,chemistry , anniversary.

I guess this means my 116506 with baguette dial has been discontinued both due to the new version with baguettes having brown chapter rings and the crystal case back. I haven’t noticed any positive bump in the value of my piece. All the pros said it would happen. Good thing I like the watch and wear it daily. I traded a nice A. Lange and Sohne for it. Funny, those watches are among the few that have actually appreciated. I wonder how much the Chinese economy has influenced the drop in luxury watch prices. Maybe it was just a bubble that naturally had to burst. Now a lot of real estate is experiencing a downturn. I’ve also seen my collectible auto collection take a general hit. Anyway, I still really enjoy a good quality timepiece and am grateful to own a few.
